Reccomend villa companies pretty please?

Hi,

For my October holiday I would normally have my villa booked months ago,so I must get it booked!

I have been looking at VRBO booking a villa directly from the owner and have the Villa Direct site.

After a search for Orlando villa hire on Google opbviously gazillions of things come up! I would much rather check out sites used/reccomended by DISers

It takes me ages to find a villa as I am fussy about some things,eg I look for the pool and pool area to be very private,so I need as many sites as poss to trawl through!

Any advice gratefully received

When I owned a house there I used http://www.pr-vacation.com and thought they were a well organised company. I met Nigel from Florida Leisure and he seemed a decent guy who worked pretty hard to make sure the villas his company managed were in good condition.
Most villa companies are a little unwilling to specify a particular house a long time ahead of arrival because it limits their ability to fit the various bookings in to maximum efficiency, it also gives them room to manoevre if the owner decides to make a last minute trip and wants their house for themselves. You can tie them down, usually, if you put a little pressure on them, but because of the owner possibility there is still a chance you won't get the specific house you are told.

Try www.lastminutevillas.net - you put in an enquiry for your dates and the type of villa you want and any owners who fit your description email you direct with their rates. You can then take a look at their websites before booking so you know exactly what you are getting.

We have been with this site for a couple of years and have found it saves alot of messing around as only owners who have availability respond to your requests. You can even specify specific details, such as a private pool and then pick and choose your villa.
