Reccomend me a resort

I'm with the person who suggested you take a look at the Art of Animation resort and consider it. It is a wonderful resort to visit while your children are still young. I don't think you can get any more Disney. The theming is absolutely amazing. We are a family of 5 and stayed in the Cars Suite last February. My husband I loved having a nice big bedroom and a huge bathroom to ourselves for the trip. Even if I could afford the more expensive resorts I would still pick the AOA for my children while they are young. They don't really appreciate the fancy shmancy stuff right now. Happy trip planning. :)

Just to update DH has eliminated The Polynesian from the short list

What eliminated the Poly if you don't mind sharing? We are a family of 5 who will make a similar decision as you are making and thought your reasoning for eliminating the Poly may be something we should consider.

BTW, we have stayed at the BC in the past and really loved it. We may end up there again, but we really think we want to try a monorail resort this time around.

There really wasn't any particular reason for it being taken off the list other then we just don't think we will like it as much as we think we will like the others.

Just a really quick comment here....you are going to find negative reviews about every hotel/resort in existence!!! There are none with 100% good reviews. And the resorts at WDW are no different! People have different expectations and needs. If those expectations aren't met, even though it was silly to have that expectation, they will bash that resort. Happens all the time. Realize that the majority of people don't post good reviews. It's the unhappy person that goes online and posts about their 'miserable stay' at a resort/hotel.

I love the Epcot resorts...own DVC at BWV, and have stayed at all the others. It's a terrific location! You can walk or boat to two parks..which is ridiculously wonderful. Buses to the other parks aren't bad at all.

Still no closer to deciding. My husband loves the look of the yacht club where as I prefer the boardwalk although we both love how the grand Floridian looks but we are having a hard time deciding on if it would be better at the other resorts due to location because so many have said they are perfect location for all parks. The beach club is still in the mix because I like it better then the yacht club so all 4 are still on the list but at least no others have been added lol. My husband and older children are loving the idea of the water parks and as I don't think my little one will be into it as much we thought on days he is tired and needs more rest I will stay back with him while they go to them. Not sure if that will help with the decision process location wise but if I am going to be in a room for a morning or afternoon with a resting toddler I would like to be comfortable.

I think you are considering all great resorts, so I wouldn't stress too much about it as you'll be happy with your decision no matter what you pick.

Two things to consider:

If your older kids would be just as happy being at the resort pool while your toddler rests, I'd pick Yacht/Beach club. The pool is not in anyway on par with Typhoon Lagoon or Blizzard Beach, but it's a very fun pool for kids, and we skipped doing any water parks the first year we stayed here because the pool sufficed.

If your older kids are definitely going to want to go to Typhoon Lagoon or Blizzard Beach, and you're going to be staying back at the hotel with your little one, I'd probably pick a deluxe club level room at Boardwalk. This is a great room (we stayed in one last year) and gives you some extra space to spread out. There will be two televisions in the room, and your little one could be sleeping in the bed (or a pack 'n play) closest to the bathroom, allowing you to sit on the couch and watch TV or sit on the balcony overlooking the boardwalk (if it's summer when you go, however, it will probably be too hot to sit on the balcony in the middle of the day). If he wakes up before your other kids are back from the water park, you can easily meander around the Boardwalk area or the back of Epcot while you wait for them to come "home" (all close to the resort). I think you may also like that you can access the lounge.

The Grand is also a wonderful choice, but I think you'll feel a little more "locked" into the resort if you're waiting for the rest of your family to come "home" from a water park. The pools also aren't quite as interesting as the Beach Club/Yacht Club.
