We have just discovered the Holiday Inn at Disneyland Paris has undergone a complete rebranding, with extensive refurbishing to the public areas and guest rooms. The HI was taken over by the Vienna International hotel management group last year, and they have now decided to brand it similarly to their neighbouring Magic Castle Hotel. It will now be the Vienna International Magic Circus Hotel. Here is their press release:

Vienna International Hotelmanagement AG -- Hotels, 2/9/2009 9:08:00 AM
One year after taking over the management of the Holiday Inn at the Disneyland® Resort Paris, Vienna International Hotelmanagement AG has changed the positioning of the family hotel. Effective 1 February 2009, the 4-star hotel was renamed the Vienna International Magic Circus Hotel.

The new positioning is in many ways an advantage for the hotel located near the Disneyland® Resort Paris, Europe’s most popular family holiday destination. The circus theme – which has played an important role in the hotel since its opening in 2004 – is now clearly advertised in the name. The extensive changes to the public areas and the guest rooms will soon give the hotel a whole new look. The Magic Circus Hotel is geared toward families looking for a varied place to stay near the Magic Kingdom – and the magic of the circus is reflected throughout the hotel in the furnishings and decorations featuring jugglers, clowns and acrobats. Through Magic Circus, the goal is to strengthen the position as a family hotel at the Disneyland® Resort Paris, to expand the customer base and to increase the enterprise value in the long term, which will include further changes in the future.

The Magic Circus Hotel is located just a few minutes from the Disneyland® Resort Paris. Hotel guests can reach the Magic Kingdom quickly and comfortably thanks to a free regular shuttle bus service. The non-smoking hotel has a total of 396 rooms and suites. The playground in the garden and the play corner inside the hotel are sure to delight all the little guests.

Will this no longer be on the HI website then? I wonder if pricing will change?

So this is why I couldn't find it when I tried to book on the Holiday Inn website last night.

So where to book?????

OUCH!!!

Good god, the prices have certainly gone up.

I checked back on a few dates that I had written down about 10 days ago when I checked them with Holiday Inn, some of the prices have DOUBLED!!

It appears on lastminute.com

Return indirect eurostar from ebbsfleet to Marne le Vallee + two nights hotel booked for this sunday at £209.00 (single occupant)

Glad I didnt book here in the end. Dont laugh but im really scared of clowns and would hate having them in the hotel.

As the Holiday Inn it was very cheap for a few months while they were sorting out change of ownership. That may be why the prices have doubled.

we are staying there this Saturday night and the booking is for Holiday Inn. It was only booked late January on the Holiday Inn site.

aw no i stayed at the HI on all of my DLP holidays, i'm quite sad to see it go. I just hope the magic circus hotel doesn't scare off any families with children afraid of clowns! :rotfl:

We have just phoned the hotel to make sure we still have a booking there on Saturday night (as we booked through HI website and the confirmation letter says HI) and we were assured we did.
I didnt fancy spending a 2nd night in the car

I have actuall booked hrough the HI site for next month and am now off to check they still have my reservation and if I will get HI points for the stay thanks for the warning.

We'd booked through HI as well and our reservation was still valid - not sure about the points though.
We really liked it - I will do a proper report on the FAQ thread but there were extra touches in the room which werent there when it was HI - bath robes, water and a plate of petit fours. The toiletries were Occitane de Provence.

Oh dear, it is now missing off of the Holiday Inn website. No more free trips to DLP :-(

This is very bad news.
