Rebooking while onsite

I'm sure this has been asked before, but I can't come up with the search word to find it!

Next month we'll be staying at the AoA hotel. In December 2013 we're taking a Disney cruise and are planning to room a few days at the AoA again. So... I'm wondering if rebooking while onsite might be the best way to get a deal at the new hotel!

So my question to everyone is what has your experience been placing a new booking while onsite. Was the saving comparable or better to the general savings they release just prior to the season (ie, 15-30% off offers).

Additionally it's a split stay because it'll just be two of us for the first night so we're going to book the LM room, but the next two nights the other two in our cruise party get into town and we're planning on upgrading to the Cars Suite.

And while this isn't the right forum for this question, if anyone wants to weigh on the travel options to the Disney boat, feel free. We're currently planning on booking a sedan to take the four of us.

Thanks for reading and for any info! And duh just found the term 'bounce back' - that's the term I couldn't remember. But don't know how to delete a new thread, so feel free to reply if you have any current bounce back news! :)

There should be a bounceback offer card in your room if there's not you can call extension 8844 and see if there's any current bounceback offers. Usually Aug/Sept dates have Free Dining bounce back for the NEXT Aug/Sept then they change out again with a room discount one for the next year. That's been the pattern the last couple of years

I don't know that you'd get too big a discount booking more days while still on site, unless there is a current public offer.

And as the previous poster stated the Bounceback offers are usually for a date in the future....sometimes a year ahead. You might try the discount codes and rates forum to see if there is a thread on what the current bounceback offered in the rooms might be. Or check the December codes thread.....you might come across something that is cheaper to book now :)
