a lot of you may have noticed that i havent been here much in the last few months, and since i'm actually avoiding work this morning i thought i would take the time to sit down and post some of the reasons, i know some of you already know that a lot of things are going on right now, but heres a readers digest version for the rest.
back in october around thee end of haunted house our business started to seriously decline. we went from working 4 to 5 days a week,, to working maybe 2 at the best. its not just us, all of the home repair people in our area are seriously slow. it didnt help that we have about 15 new guys that retired from local paper mill and started suplimenting retirement with home repairs...it got bad enough that we sold our company service truck in december to keep our house out of foreclosure, and buy christmas
also during the last two months dd has had several things come to a head that had been brewing since my wreck. there are some kids at school that had started picking on her about me being a freek with half a face etc, and it had escalated till they were "bitter enimies" she was suspended from school just prior to christmas for supposedly threatening to kill these kids, ( not what actually happened, principle has changed his story about six times so far, every tiume i catch him in a lie and provide proof he lied,,, he changes what happened, administration refused to challenge the guy, even afterwe caught him lieing.
after she returned to school councelor sat her her friends and the opposing sides kids all down together and now they are all getting along fine and starting to be friendly towards each other.
fast forward to this week, we get call from police dept, asking us to bring dd in for questioning in regards to several seriously threatening e mails sent out over bebo during the first week of january. ( dd was still on suspension at time) turns out before they went back to school she and her friewnd that was suspended for protesting dd' s suspension got together and sent several serious threats to therse other kids. after the group session, dd went in and deleted the account and as much of the messages as she could, but not before police got involved. shes now facing three counts of misdemeanor terroristic threatening and we are waiting on court dates,
free to good home....
during all this, we found out that my home town, 75 miles north of us has no local painter or handy man, and people there start encourageing us to look into moving up there. and we are. we have spent several days in the last month ouut scouting for new house and found one that we reallly want, we think we can get it cheep enough to fix it up and restore it to its glory days. its a pre 1900 antebellum home, with several of the original out buildings including carriafge house and the old original barn. this is the house
we are currently trying to get as much info etc as we can,trying to get the house we live in finished up( you know the carpenters house is never done..lol.. but true)and stuff set up to move, we are looking at a few other houses in case we cantget that one, but htat is choice number one.we have already set up an office there and started advertising, now its just a matter of time getting work coming in
we think we may have to upgrade the restrooms a bit before we move in, ( we havent seen the interior yet, as the house is in foreclosure and no one can get permission to show it yet. we were only ablre to locate one set of facilities on the property, and its in a little small building on the side of the barn.. i'm hoping this is not the only one..lol..

Always lousy how kids pick on other kids like that. Your girl was wrong certainly to send that, but I sure can see her logic and why. I would love to see pictures of that home a year or so from now, after you have had your time to work on it. I bet it will be beautiful.
