We are planning an overnighter up there around Memorial Day - can any suggest a good place with rooms that sleep 5. I am thinking of the Hampton Inn but am up for any suggestions. Thanks!

If you can't find one in your budget that fits 5 of you, would 2 rooms be an option?? We stayed at the Days Inn, Bow Creek in Hershey last August and it was clean and affordable. I think it was $60 per night with a continental free breakfast and the most affordable and cleanest hotel I found. Even for 2 rooms it might be the best choice. There phone number is 717-469-0631. Oh, I think it was 5 or 10 minutes to Hershey Park.

Try the Mainstay Suites in Grantville (7 miles away). The rooms are quite spacious and include a kitchenette. Oh, and free breakfast in the lobby!

We always stay in the Residence Inn on Lewis road .. it is a short drive to the park and they have a wonderful free breakfast every day in the lobby . the rooms are clean and nice ! We go every Halloween ! Look the hotel up they also offer a AAA discount if you have the card . There is also a new Country Inns right up the road from the park Not sure of the street name but they are usually clean and have a good breakfast as well . I know both have rooms for 5 ! Good Luck ! :thumbsup2

We just stayed at the new Country Inn and Suites in Hummelstown, PA two weeks ago. It was great. The suite slept 6 and was about 3 minutes from the park. We paid 170 a night and that included breakfast (eggs, waffles, cereal, etc.) Feel free to PM me for more info.

The White Rose is right on Chocolate Avenue. It is family owned and very clean. They have a website where you can see some pictures.

We have stayed at the comfort suites hummelstown (7min drive) several times while in Hershey. The room has 2 queen beds and sleeper sofa, refrigerator , microwave, indoor pool, and hot breakfast. They accept AAA discount rooms run around $80 on up. Very quiet ,and clean.

Couldn't agree more-Great place, great price and a quick drive to the park.

We stayed at the Courtyard Marriott in Harrisburg last weekend for a cheerleading competition. It was very nice and also had a great indoor pool that all of the kids loved. The staff there was great.

FWIW...we just got back from Hershey. Stayed at the MainStay Suites in Granville-very nice...the little kids loved the dinky pool-swam 3x in 2 days, played basketball and did the mini indoor golf-cute. Quick, scenic trip through farm country to the park! The park was a big hit for us. Enough big coasters to satisfy the big kids and med. coasters for the little kids. Plus lots of old school rides. Went to the Boardwalk about 3:30 to 7. Not bad crowds. Preview night is a a nice bonus. Just did Preview night and all one day. Chocolate World is blah IMHO.

We always stay at the Springhill Suites. I didn't check the price. It is very close and offers breakfast and has an indoor pool. The rooms are 2 doubles with a pull out couch, fridge and microwave.

I agree! We stayed there last month and loved it. Nice and clean and so close to the park.

I'm a local with 4 extra tickets for the park. Asking $35 each. PM me if you want. First come first serve.

i don't have a suggestion where to stay, but i had a very bad experience at Days Inn a few years back. some gosh-awful smell from nearby construction through the ENTIRE building, and they didn't have my rollaway cot at first for me to sleep on, just a king size bed. it ultimately got sorted out, but just seemed like there are better places with less headaches....
