REAS update

According to my TA at Small World, the REAS is $339 for the 7-day cruise. This is less than the $399 reported on a previous thread.

I am now very inclined to purchase the REAS package for my very first cruise because it now looks to be a pretty good deal.

It would break down to the following:

$242 for the couples massage
$ 20 for Palo
$ 50 for the gift basket (value quoted from previous threads)
$ 27 for the breakfast in bed (it covers the remaining $$)

This does not put a monetary value on Debbie's services. (Even though I am I newbie, I have lurked these boards for 6 months!)

It's not often you find a deal that costs less than you thought at Disney! But I love Disney anyway!

My TA said the prices are now availiable and she offered to add it to my package. So I assume you can add it.

The pricing is also on the DCL official website if anyone want to take a look. This should also head off any questions about "what is REAS?"

Wow the pricing HAS changed on the DCL site. A few days ago it said $399 . I'm glad that it's only $339.

I've already added the REAS to my booking through my TA and I should be getting my confirmation in the mail in a few days.

I've seen it mentioned on several cruise posts, but I can't figure out what it means for the life of me.

Can someone clue me in and put my mind at ease!

REAS is Romantic Escape at Sea package offered for cruises.

According to the DCL site:

On board, you'll receive:
- Romantic gift amenity delivered to your stateroom (one per package)
- Couples massage at the Vista Spa & Salon
- Priority seating at Palo for one night
- Romance turndown service (one night)
- Champagne breakfast in bed (one morning)

Sweet! Wonder why Disney changed it. Was it a misprint along, or did they get a lot of people questioning why it went up $100? Hmmmm.... The world may never know.

Also, is the $339 for 2005 cruises? I hadn't made my decision about REAS yet, but didn't expect it to go up from the $299 offered me for my Nov cruise.

According to the site "Options available for travel 1/01/05 through 12/31/05. " That says all of 2005 to me.

It also says that Disney reserves the right to raise the price again in 2006.

I thought I paid 399.00 for our REAS package in December but it was actually 299.00 She is on vacation but emailed me anyhow, what a doll!

FWIW: I talked to Debbie on Monday for our Nov 2004 cruise and asked about REAS for 2005. She said then (two days ago) that the pricing is not available yet. She suggested calling once a month and check in. If anyone knows different, please post. (I was hoping to get it booked now for 2005.)

REAS for 2005 is available now for $339. I was able to add it to my reservations two days ago.

Thank you I thought I was losing my mind. When I checked the DCL website earlier in the week, I thought it read 399.00. I am happy to know it went down, now hubby will be happy to. I definately won't mind paying 339.
