So How is this looking? I know it is still alot but I am hoping now it is more doable and definitely glad to know it doesn't put up but maybe 1 meal OOP. The QS lunches are negotiable or even skippable that day( so we can use it on the day we leave) depending on how hungry we are.

I'd trade some of your QS meals for signature dinners (you'll end up paying out more in tips but it's worth it IMO).

For example, on your EP/HS day, you could skip Pepper Market and, instead, get a snack or two in Cafe Rix, get a beverage with your resort mug, and eat in the Rix Lounge before catching the bus to Epcot. Keep your LeCellier lunch reservation and then hit Flying Fish for dinner between EP and HS.

On your AK day, you could skip the CS lunch (which you probably won't be that hungry for anyway after the Tusker House breakfast buffet) and use the extra credit for another signature dinner (e.g., Jiko).

We recently did a 6 night stay at CSR on DxDP and didn't use any of our credits for QS meals. Instead, we had 2 TS meals per day (generally 1 signature and 1 non-signature) and relied on our snack credits as sort of a hold over for the third meal. After an opening night at 'Ohana, we had 5 signature dinners, which were all fabulous (and we have 2 kids, ages 8 and 2 and it still worked out great, keeping in mind that we had early ADRs every night).

We looked at alot of the restaurants but husband is about as far from an adventerous eater as they come. He loves to eat but he doesnt like any kind of Oriental food. I don't do seafood nor can I do anything that is heavily spiced or flavored. We are still playing around with our options a little (downtown disney exp.... daughter just really wanted to go there she thought the building was "super cool" so we will probably keep it like that)

So there was just alot of those menu's that we looked at and we just weren't sure it would be something we could all order and like. So alot of the restaurants were just out and there was a couple that we couldn't get a reservation that worked if at all.

Honestly not eating a bunch of signature meals doesn't bother us that's not really why we got the Dining Plan ... it was more for the peace of mind of my husband because regardless of how much money we budget (and we always budget and have enough and then some) he starts to stress after a couple days (except for the times when we have done all inclusive resorts (so this is his way of making Disney "all Inclusive pre paid" for the most part)

I'll def have to look into what counts as a snack at the Cafe Rix that could be doable and fairly healthy for breakfast (thats when i tend to stress the more healthy food the most)

My husband is also not going to go for skipping many meals exp not lunch or dinner

I think that looks a bit better than before. Still too much dining time for me, but I understand your approach relative to your DH.

My #1 concern would be how late your dinners are and then having early days the next day. I don't remember your previous post about the age of your daughter and things, but 8 PM dinner reservations won't have you out of the restaurant until 9:30 most of the time - maybe later on a bad night.

My family does almost all early mornings at Disney, and we are all mostly ready for bed by or before 9:30 more evenings than not.

My daughter is 8 will be turning 9 right after our trip. I did worry about several of the later reservations Especially the day we are doing downtown disney but the way the show time worked out we felt it was too early for dinner before we needed to be there for the show. And there was a couple of them that was the only good times we could get.

Because of my work schedule & gymnastics during the week our usual dinner time falls around 7:30.. so i figured all except one wasnt to far out of our norm.

My daughter usually is in bed by 9:30 10PM during the school days... but over the summer she can be quiet the little night owl and still gets up early so im not too worried.

I am sure we will all be tired but we do intend to most days take a little mid day nap. And that is how our usual vacation scheduling goes stay up late get up early.

Is Planet Hollywood on the dining plan? I didn't think that it was :confused3 You may have an extra TS credit there if you've included Planet Hollywood and they're not actually on the Plan. I am curious now as to whether they are or not. Please advise if you know for sure :thumbsup2

First thing... enjoy your trip.

Personally I would go with the Dining Plan that is one quick service, one Table service, and 1 snack.

* The reason behind that thought is being this is your first trip I would want more flexibility in my schedule. What if it rains one day while you are at MK and decide to go back a different day. Or your daughter really wants to go on a ride and the line is a bit longer than you want. In my opinion The Deluxe Dining Plan gets you to focused on dining schedule vs. Parks and entertainment.

Not to mention at some point you will be run ragged... If you stay late at a park and have early breakfast the next day, (don't forget time for busses to get to breakfast). For example you have breakfast at Chef Mickeys at 8:15 (you'll love it) but assuming you are staying on property you will need to take a Bus to MK and walk over to the Contemporary, not far but 10-15 minutes from Bus to line at Chef Mickey's. Probably need to be ready for bus around 7AM.

PLEASE understand I am not trying to burst your bubble but have learned the hard way of trying to do to much in 1 day. There will be a day and when your child just doesn't want to wake up out of exhaustion... you don't want to be screaming at her because you are running late for a reservation or just be frenzied by it.

With all that said, ENJOY your vacation as you want, there is no right or wrong way only your way. Just don't be afraid to slow down and enjoy and if you see a character you want to get a photo with let your schedule adjust.

Have a great time..

I don't know for certain it was listed on the website as accepting the dining plan... but id does seem like the official website is not right alot according to what everyone is telling me.
