Rearrange my whole itinerary for A&E?

I got a fastpass for A&E on a day that was suppose to be a nonpark day. We are doing a split stay and the night before the nonpark day is EMH at night at MK until 2am, so we were going to sleep until 10am the next morning, check out at 11am then spend some time either swimming or at DTD before checking in at the new resort.
But that is the only day I could get A&E! DH likes the original plan and says to cancel the fast passes and we'll just go at RD. We aren't good at making RD! The fastpass is in the afternoon, but since it was a nonpark day, I'll have to add a day to our passes. So, what would you do?

What about cancelling your FP+ and trying to catch A&E during EEMH at MK?

I would add the extra day and keep the FP+. I am assuming this is for a E&A loving child.

If my assumption is wrong, then I would cancel the FP+.

We have trouble making it to RD, even earlier than, forget about it! Lol! How late are they there?

You are correct! But the child is 15 and she very much wants to see them! DS 9 does too, but the fanatic is my 15 yr old DD.

It's hard to say how the addition of FP+ will affect the lines or how different it will be in general once they move to MK, but given that the line at Epcot reaches 2-3+ hours within minutes of rope drop, I wouldn't risk it. Can you change your park days around so you don't have to add another one? If not, I'd add the day and just go for the afternoon.

No way, no how.

There is no way on this earth that I would base my entire trip on meeting two characters.

But I also happen to think the craziness of waiting many hours in line to meet them pre-FP is absolutely insane too.

For us, Disney is a once-every-several-years-if-we-are-LUCKY experience, and there is so much more in The World than two girls in dresses, wigs, and makeup for us to see and do.

What's that suppose to mean?!

If it were me, I would add a day and see them. Your daughter will more than likely always remember "the time we added a day just to see E & A". Just ignore those who don't have anything constructive to add. Go enjoy the Magic.

I'd be willing to add an extra day. You might wait to see how their move to MK affects lines and wait times, but if it's a big deal to your daughter, than why not? I know character M&Gs aren't a big deal to everyone, but there are people standing in line for FIVE HOURS for this, so clearly it matters a lot to some people! If the FP+ allows you to still get your sleep, have most of the day to relax and take it slow, and still get to meet the princesses, then why not? The extra ticket cost isn't going to be that much compared to what you're spending on the vacation as a whole.

I'd probably keep checking to see if I could get a FP+ on a different day and wait to upgrade my ticket until the day of in case something else opened up.

My DD17 after knowing we are going to WDW, asked me if there was M&G for Elsa and Anna. She does not like face characters and I was surprised that she wanted to meet them. Here goes one previous FP+! She may even ask me to get autograph for her best friend.

I would add the extra day, even if you only do that for that particular day. It wont cost that much more and your daughter will treasure it. How hard is it to please teenagers these days anyway. You would be an A+ mom in her eyes, even for a little bit. :)

Yes, these are the only characters she wants to see. Dad might have to suck it up! We will be spending a whole Saturday and Sunday at HS for SWW for him!

I agree 100%!!

As the mother of an almost 15 year old who refuses to watch the movie and is complaining about having to go to WDW.:scared1: I would say to add a day to your tickets and keep the fast pass plus to see them.

My DD 11 liked the movie but she doesn't care about seeing them. She has never liked any princess or face characters. I think she likes Sven the most. I really wish my older DD would watch the movie because it is such a great sister story.:sad2:

I'm doing a solo trip in early May but my friend from FL & her almost 15 yo DD are joining me for the weekend. Her DD bought an Anna dress on eBay and cant wait to meet them. We do have fast passes to see them.

I would do this! I might not spend alot of time in the park - maybe just my 3 FP worth of time - but I would go in! Maybe even grab lunch at the plaza! Gotta eat somewhere!

Add the day and the extra Magic to your trip! If Dad doesn't want to go, let him go check in while you go meet the girls. When my DD's are 15 and they want to keep a little bit of childhood going I would embrace it full force.

Have a great trip.

Erika

If there is still time before the trip, I'd wait and see if something opens up on the day you're already planning on.

I started planning at 60 days and in 2 weeks I've already got the exact itinerary I was hoping for
