Really stupid shoe question

.....from the fashion challenged. :rotfl:

How would you wear a shoe like this, with cutouts? Socks wouldn't look right, and barefoot seems icky and uncomfortable, especially with a leather insole. Do you wear them with knee his? Peds seem like they would show through the cutouts.

I see so many cute shoes like this, and they'd be great for my casual office environment, but I just don't know what to do with them......

I usually don't wear anything other than the shoe when wearing flats but I've seen coworkers wear knee highs.

I would wear them with no socks etc. If you have to wear something wera a knee high. Honestly though they look like something a little girl would wear so my first thought when I saw them was ruffle socks. JMHO.

I would wear them with the high heel peds. They are very low cut and comfy. I got some at kohls and they are more of a little sock than a nylon. very comfy.

Wear nothing but the shoe. imo, wearing anything with them would look tacky and not right.

I know what you mean, I thought they were kind of little-girly too, but there seem to be so many shoes like this out there lately, with cutouts or a mary jane style with a strap. They're kind of growing on me.

You could get the little socks that just cover your toes and leave the top of your foot bare. They would not show.

I cannot wear shoes (other than flip flops or strappy sandals) without socks. :crazy2:

I have shoes like that. In the winter, I wear trouser socks. In the summer, barefoot.

Hm, I'm going to have to look for those, they sound promising.

I did get a pair of mary-jane-ish shoes from Lands End a few years back, but have barely worn them because they're so uncomfortable without socks. I'll try the high heel peds out with those.

Thanks, everyone!

I wouldn't wear anything with them. I don't wear socks with flats even if it's 20 degrees out. I hate the way flats look with socks.

Oh I know, I wasn't trying to be offensive. I personally like a lot of them.:) I just would strive for a non sock look if you can. I think that makes them have a more "mature" look ;) if you will. Of course I wear yoga pants to places other than yoga so maybe I am not the best person to take fashion advice from.:rotfl2:

I have had several pairs similar to this. I either wear nothing or a light sock/trouser sock.

As others have suggested, I'd wear the socks that cover your toes only.

Oh, there was nothing at all offensive about what you said. :) I used to dislike this kind of shoe, thought they were little girlish, and then it was..."well, they're kinda cute". "They look really comfy." "I want them". :rotfl:
