Last night, one of my Facebook friends (old friend from high school whom I haven't seen in several years) posted a picture of her 8-year old daughter sitting on the toilet with a laptop in her lap. Apparently, the mom thought it was funny. I didn't comment on it but seriously thought of dropping her as a friend. I thought it was in very poor taste to expose a child on the Internet like that. By the time I went to bed, there were two other comments. One person thought it was funny. Another said the girl was going to kill her mom when she saw the post. This morning, the picture was taken down with a big apology from the mom. She said she and her daughter both thought it was funny, but apparently others did not. Really? How could a picture of your kid on the toilet amuse anyone?

I'm watching the Superbowl or whatever, but I'm also staring at my cellphone and tweeting thoughts about the players?
OMGosh, why does anyone care?
