Below is my reservations, now I am wondering if we will be waiting to long to get into the resturant and will miss the parade/fantasmic shows?????

Mamo Rosa's 5:40 pm
Ohana 6:45 p.m.
Le Cellier 7:40 pm
Boma (sp?) 7:30 p.m.
Grand Floridian Cinderella 7:00 p.m.
Contemporary Concourse 6:50 p.m.

I have read here that sometime even with reservation the wait can be up to an hour long.

Please help?

Thanks

Melissa

Disney calls them reservations, but they used to call 'em advance dining reservations, and before that priority seating. They all mean the same thing (which is different from the pre-priority seating period, when a reservation meant a reservation :))

You arrive at the location the recommended few minutes prior to your 'reservation' and check in at the podium.

You will be seated at the next available table for your party size, after the other parties who checked in before you but before parties without reservations (if the restaurant is even accepting walk-ups).

The restaurants can't control how long existing diners remain at a table. They (although I don't know if Disney does, never seen it) 'urge' people out subtly but they can't force them out.

So, ideally, each party uses a table for the predicted/estimated length of time, and subsequent parties are seated relatively close to their reservation time. But things go wrong, and yes, there may be a longer than expected wait.

What time are the shows, your ADR's seem very late to catch them. I usually figure 2 hours from start to finish with dinner, and you'll need travel time for restaraunts outside of the parks. I need 45 min before the shows to get in for Fantasmic or find a spot for the parades. We usually make ADR's for 5:30-6:30 for this reason. You've selected some of our favorite restaraunts though!

When are you going and what time are the shows. At different times of year the closing times and show times change so you may or may not be okay.

I think Mama Rosa's should be fine. Maybe I should call to see if I can adjust my reservations especially the real late ones.

Before I call, are they any that you would drop and replace with another resturant? This is our first time on the DDP and we want to make a special trip out of all our dining ressies. :confused3

Our children are very good eaters (not big eaters) they like to try new things as we have always encouraged them to do. I love this about them

Do you have any suggestions on counter service. We really like the fish and chips in England (Epcot).

We are going July 6th. I would like to see all of the night parades and fireworks as well as Fantasmic (sp)

I believe Ohana has a show already during dinner.

We have never been to Downtown Disney what is kind of things can you do there?
