Really feeling frustrated

I have been a member @ the BWV since 1999. I have almost always planned in advance, a bit OCD by design. So I have never really had issues geting what I wanted when and where but over the course of the last year with a change in marital status, I have become a bit more of a spur of the moment kind of planner. With that being said I found myself changing resorts during my trip in Nov/Dec,as follows, AKL Kidani studio (2 nights), BWV pref view 1 bdr (4 nights) and then BWV 2 bedroom stan (3 nights). My teens due to scheduling issues backed out of the trip 4-6 mon in advance and despite my best efforts could not get rid of the last 3 nights in a 2 bedroom. I was willing for a studio or 1 bedroom at all resort, never happened. And yes I waitlisted. Then after calling and calling and calling at 7 months I was unable to get my precious week at VB that we have been doing for 10 yrs. Now I just got off the phone with MS trying to snag 4/24-4/29 in any studio at almost any resort. No go!!!! I could get OKW, SSR, or AKL. Just really needed to vent.

I am very unhappy right now.

You do say "almost any resort" do you not have enough points to book the others? This late in the game, I would take what I could and waitlist for whatever took more points rather than less if I was borrowing, for instance.

I booked our VB vacation 11 months out for what I could and exactly 7 months out for our friends, and I consider myself very lucky that I was able to get OVIRs for my DFs.

I hope your luck changes for the better!

Thanks Bobbi, I have the points I just don't want anything larger than a studio for myself and 2 young dd's. At VB due to party size we could only have a 2 bedroom, inn rooms were available but I did not want 2 Inn rooms. I ended up booking a week at HH and retning a condo at Sanibel to get my sand/ocean fix. I being a whiner I recognize that.
