Ok,

So I booked HDDR at the 180 day mark, along with a couple of other restaurants that required a credit card guarantee.

I was just putting my final budget together, and it just hit me- I think I was already charged for HDDR.

Is this correct? Is HDDR one of the restaurants where my credit card has already been charged, or is it just a CC guarantee? I'm buying some disney GC today and I want to make sure I buy enough to cover all of my meals, and we all know how expensive HDDR is.

It's supposed to be just a CC guarantee. But I've heard in the past about people having the charges appear on their accounts after making their booking. If this has happened, then give Disney Dining a call and have them fix it for you.

Are you on a dining plan?

If not, you have to pay for it in full when you book it.

If you're on a dining plan, sometimes the online system doesn't work. It's supposed to recognize your dining plan and not charge you in full. Sometimes it doesn't. If Disney Dining can't fix it (apparently not every phone agent knows how or is willing to) you can get refunded when you pick up your tickets and switch your payment to dining credits.

I had Mickey's BYBBQ booked over the phone and my CC was charged (same process as HDDR). I picked up free dining and called and had them change it to the DDP. They credited my CC the full amount.

Does your CC statement show that you already paid for it? If not on the DDP it will be charged when you book it.

I can't find my CC statement (and I don't have an online account, GASP). I guess I'll just plan to have the extra $140 on me, and if it's already paid, awesome, more souvenir money for me!

When I called (I'm On Dinning Plan) about this they said they would still charge my credit card. It's the reason why I didn't go to this show...why should they be using my money for five months and then credit me later on? Scam and can't believe Disney does this.

They don't. If you book the reservation and use the reservation number from your onsite package, you only need a CC guarantee for Hoop de doo in case you don't show up. I booked it last month and didn't pay anything for this reservation or for any of my meals at Cindy's.

I asked this specific question TWICE. The person said they would charge my credit card and I would be credited the day of the show if I attended. So they don't take your card number just for the sake of taking it....they charge you for the show.

I believe this was only done for a few weeks a little while ago when there were problems because of the change in show times and people were charged the full amount.

You should call them and associate your dining plan and you won't be charged.

and associated my Free DDP reservation, the LOVELY Dining rep I spoke with said the CC was just a hold against no-show, that it would not be charged. Repeated this to me several times.

Well that figures...but dinning plans are in place and using two credits for CP so this show doesn't work for us.
