I just wanted to put the word out that I got a 12 passenger van from Budget using Entertainment 20% off weekly rental for $377.63.

This is for a two week rental 8/2 -8/16/ 2005.

I was really looking for a minivan rental because it will only be 7 people in our party, but when I seen this rate compared to $700+ for minivan rental, I jumped on it. BTW, I've checked Alamo, Dollar & National, and even with coupons the cheapest I've found is $200 more than Budget's 12 passenger van rental. So it looks like we'll be trying Budget for the first time. I don't think we'll get a better rate than this.

I hope this info can help someone else.

THANK YOU SOOO much for the tip!!! We're leaving in about 2 weeks and have a minivan reserved for the 5 of us. Well, we just picked up my mother's ECV rental today that we will be taking with us and realized there would be no way we could fit all of our luggage, my daughters stroller and the ECV in a minivan. We figured we would probably have to rent 2 cars.

I just went to the Budget site and was able to reserve the 12-passenger van for only $40 more than the minivan!

Thank you so much!!... my mother will be so happy.. she was feeling bad that we would have to rent 2 cars. I'm going to call her right now- she will feel much better.

By the way, we're from Warren.. where in MI are you?

Thanks for posting. I couldn't get this rate to come up for our Dec 2004 trip, but I did go ahead and make a reservation for the 12 passenger van for our Thanksgiving 2005 trip! There are only 5 of us, but we planned to get a minivan, and the 12 passenger van was only $372 for 12 days, so we'll go with that for now. We're used to driving a minivan, and I wonder how much different it is from one of these larger vans.

zippehsmom - could you post that coupon code for 2005 (20% off weekly) I'd like to check this out and don't have my 2005 book yet - thanks !!!

The coupon code for 20% off BCD# X443014.

I was just amazed when I saw how cheap the rate was. So, I had to share with my DIS friends.

My Mom once drove a 15 passenger van on a family trip to Ohio. I asked if she didn't mind driving a 12 passenger van. She said that it was not difficult to drive, she just did not like parallel parking. I think it's probably similar to driving a full size van.

LittleMermaidsmom, we live in Rochester Hills, so we are not to far from each other.

Glad someone was able to benefit.
