Reallocating points

Am I allowed to reallocate points whenever I want? Can MS tell which reservations were made with banked, current, or borrowed use year points? I have several reservations and I lost track of which ones I used for what. I know I have to be more organized with this. The thing is that I want to be sure I always use up the points that need to go first, leaving me with options for those points that can go 'further'. Just wondering if MS can easily do this and if there are any restrictions.

if you are using pts from different home resorts, you cannot reallocate pts to defeat the home resort window. so no booking with home resort pts at 11 months out and calling to reallocate with another resort's pts at 7 months if the home resort is full.

other than that, they should be willing to work with you...

You won't be able to reallocate within 30 days of the reservation because any points reallocated out of a reservation will go into holding status.

nope just one home (as of now but i hope that will change someday lol) and looking to do it 6 months out, not touching on banking deadlines or anything.

You can do it over the phone with MS. They can tell which points came from which contract, UY, HR, etc.
You can also, get a printout showing how all points for a contract have been used, mailed to you by MS.
If you know what you want to do then, go to the web-site and e-mail MS your requests; if you do not want to do not want to phone.

It sounds like you'd like to move the points around within several reservations to use the banked ones on the first one? That would be pretty complicated AFAIK and if you have some reservations that the rooms is otherwise unavailable I personally would not even attempt this - and I'm one who will usually push the limits with risks of losing a booking by making a change. I'd suspect that many CM's would be very confused by this - and as I said I wouldn't attempt it myself unless there were backups available.

You actually can find what points were used online - go under vacation points and then into the view activity statement section.
