Reallocate points

I have 58 banked BLT points in a BWV reservation that I want to replace with SSR points and use the BLT points on a home resort advantage reservation. I know in the past Member Services switched out points.
I asked about it yesterday, and the CM said no they didn't, unless they were all banked points ?? Her computer was freezing up, and I gave up. Thought I would check here. Do they no longer do this? I think she may have misunderstood what I wanted to do.

Yes, you should be able to do this because the points you are using are not home resort points (ie BLT points used to book BWV reservation within 7 month window).

Are the points banked in the use year you want to use the reservation for?

The MS said I could only replace the banked BLT points with SSR points if the SSR points were banked too. Then they would do it.
That is just silly and makes no sense.
I don't know what she was thinking of, but that makes no sense.

I would call again and talk to a different CM and see what happens. But I don't see why you wouldn't be able to do what you were wanting to do.

I just reallocated points yesterday. I own at OKW and BCV and have 2 upcoming BCV reservations. I had a few OKW points left and they switched them for BCV points. They were points from the current use year though and I had to wait for the 7 month window.

In your scenario, I don't see why you couldn't do it.

You cannot use your 11 month advantage and then switch to other resort points at 7 months unless there is availability still, or if you cancel and rebook.
If you have banked points at the same resort, you can substitute them for a reservation.
Today, I made a reservation for march, using banked points. I had earlier made a December ressie using current year points (Dec UY). I called to see if they would change the banked points to be used in December so they would be used first. Because I had already used them in a reservation, they did not want to do it. Finally they agreed to cancel a few days off the March reservation to reclaim the banked points. Then they could apply the banked points to the December reservation. After that, they added the days back to March, which consumed the remainder of the banked points and some current year points.
