Reality shows

Dance Moms is my embarrassing reality TV fave. I got sucked in one night during season 2 when I was switching through channels and stopped because my DD saw one of the girls on stage dancing. It was right around the time my DD was in one of her first recitals. I don't do this often, but I actually made it a point to find out when it would be on next. DD and have been hooked ever since.

Next Food Network Star. Anything to do with the hot Property Brothers. House Hunters. Love it or List It. Flip or Flop (even though Tarek is annoying).

I used to like Wife Swap and Supernanny when they were on. And Jon and Kate Plus 8 - their older girls are the same age as my oldest and their younger set are the same age as my DD, so it was interesting to see what life would be like if we were in that place.

I've never watched Survivor or the Bachelor or any of the competition shows like Fear Factor or Amazing Race or DWTS, so I have no idea on those.

I enjoy a few reality type TV shows, mainly Survivor (have never missed an episode since it started), The Amazing Race, and Big Brother. I also like Duck Dynasty, Alaska: The Last Frontier, Naked & Afraid, and several of the cooking shows like Chopped, Masterchef, Guys Grocery Games, Beat Bobby Flay, etc. I watched one season of Dancing With The Stars but only because Sadie Robertson was on. Not interested in shows like the Kardashians, Bridezilla, etc.

The only reality shows that I watch are real estate based - buying houses, flipping houses, etc.

I do watch House Hunters, but other than that, I hate reality shows. I don't like sitcoms either. If I'm going to watch tv, it's either going to be a drama series or a documentary.

If you consider Judge Judy as reality, then yes. I gave up on Survivor and Amazing Race spring season of 2014. Maybe I'll start again in the fall.

House Hunters and other HGTV shows totally scripted IMO, but I still like to watch occasionally.

I like most of the reality shows. My favorite are Survivor, BIg Brother, and Amazing race.

I don't think there's anything real about most reality shows. I remember when I was in culinary school I entered a culinary salon and I always thought something like that would be a good basis for a show. It is pretty fierce and you practice for serious hours. There are ups and downs and lack of sleep and at the end either failure or triumph. Like maybe follow a team to the Boucuse d'or.
