If we rope drop EP and go straight to Soarin, do you think they will give us a rider swap that early? If not, is it realistic to say we can do Soarin with half the group, then Soarin with the other half, get to Test Track and do that(just the first group) and be done by 10? If TT is not down of course. WE are going first week of Oct.

I don't know about the riders swap, but they probably will.
Since you're going during Food and Wine, and Epcot is moderately crowded, it may be tough to finish all of that before 10.

Hmm. Ok, best guesstimation of wait times? We want to wait and use our tier 1 FP for Frozen.

Soarin' at RD is usually a 10 minute wait (this depends where you are in line at RD).
But by the time you get to TT, it may be a 20-30 minute wait.

I usually get a FP for TT just in case if it goes down earlier in the day, we can go back at anytime.
But this is all your choice :P

We rope dropped Soarin last September and got rider swap, no problem. Assuming you have someone too short to ride, I never had any problems getting rider swap at any time (also did Seven Dwarves at RD and got rider swap). In order to make the most of the RD time, we would immediately go to another ride after the first group went, and then come back to Soarin/7D later that day. As Mama Lo said, it will increase your walking, but on that trip we preferred that vs. not using the early time to get on other rides.

I have walked on sorrain 3 times at RD all thought this was the old movie . Not sure they will give you a RS card if the wait is 10 minutes or less

Thank you everyone for your replies! I guess I will leave room in our touring plan just in case they DON'T give us RS, and that will be the deciding factor for how much time it will take us. And I like the plan of Soarin and TT back to back and using the RS after if they give them, I think that would be the best use of our time. I appreciate all the input!

You can also do Test Track in the single rider line, which will be shorter than the posted stand by wait at that time.
