People are always asking about connection times in Atlanta, so here's mine... from when I stepped off the plane at Gate B1 (so all the way at one end of B concourse), to my next gate at E7 (almost all the way down of E concourse), 15 min.

Thats a slightly fast walk, using the plane train, not stopping for food or bathroom.

I was by myself, but even doubling the time its doable within 30 minutes. Yes, I know many will say they want an hour+. I'm not advocating for a tight connection, but just letting you know it IS doable.

I went from A to E on December 4, I agree, about 15 minutes.

A lot of people avoid Atlanta, I always found it easy. The concourses are set up in a row, the train is quick (although crowded). Lots of food options.

Your experience reflects mine as well. ATL is well laid out and the connections between concourses is easy.

We only have two airlines from our city-Delta and AA.

Delta is our go to and have made several 33 minutes connection times in ATL.

would I risk it with several small children or for anyone with mobility issues? Definitely not.

thankfully JAN now has SW and even though it is a 2 hr drive to Jackson, the SW flights ate sometimes nonstop and ALWAYS less money than Delta.

Connected in Atlanta a few times when traveling internationally on business. I found the terminals very well laid out and traveling to the connecting flight was never an issue. The train runs perpendicular to the various concourses and is at the center of each one. When connecting at any airport, I always find it makes sense to know the airport layout ahead of time and then you have a general idea of where you need to go before arriving. Also double check the gate of you next departure when you arrive since they sometimes can change for a variety of reasons.

You don't want to head to a distant concourse only to find your connecting flight gate has been changed !!!
