REAL Princess Dresses anywhere?

My niece is going on a DCL cruise in Feb. and I'd like to get her a nice princess dress to wear for the formal night. The Disney Store has the cheap costume type (and only Tinkerbell) but they no longer carry the nice quality dressy dresses. They used to have a nice selection online but not anymore. Does anyone have any suggestions?

We can't use ebay (due to DH's work rules :guilty: ) and I really don't want to order from any of the "home made" places - I want a real princess dress! Sorry if that sounds snobby but it has to be special. Thanks for any help!

how old is your neice? Have you thought about going to a bridal shop and looking at some flower girl dresses? the ones with all the tule would be so pretty and princessy.

Can you go to the library and get online? You just need about 20 minutes to set it up on EBAY. Get yourself a free Yahoo address and go for it. I will edit with any I find on Ebay.

Edited to add: 10 Pages of pretty dresses! Average is 20-30 dollars.

A bridal shop would be my suggestion as well.

However, please do not rule out "home made" either. There is one lady from e-bay (you can contact her direct, no need to e-bay), as well as jfulcer (sp?) here on the DIS that make absolutely wonderful dresses, that I think would be very special.

eta~if you can get to Jeff's home page, you can find pictures in 2004 under princess meet.

Oops, sorry - she's almost 5 (wears a 6).

I will probably check out other places if I can't find the "official" dresses - you know Cinderella or Belle dresses that look like the characters'?

Could you contact the shops at WDW and inquire if they have any dresses for sale? I know that you can order anything from the stores and have it shipped to you.

I don't know the phone # - but I know it's floating around here somewhere on the boards.....

They sell them on board. I bought Princess Aurora and Cinderella for my girls in March - $55 each. I wonder if you could call DCL and have the dress delivered to your neice's stateroom as a gift.

What a nice aunt you are!

Yes, don't rule out homemade (thanks for the kudos Piglet too!)
