I just sent in an application to rescue a 7 year old black lab. Wish us success.

Yeah, she's a sweetheart We got her from my mom's meat manager and I consider her a rescue. When we got her, she was so skinny that you could count her ribs across the room. She was terrified to be left alone, and also afraid of the broom. She can be left alone now, but not for long periods of time. She's still nervous about the broom, but not as bad as it was. She does love being in my bedroom, though, since it's air conditioned

I'd forgotten Delilah was a rescue dog. Don't blame her for wanting to be in the air conditioned room!

This post represents my 20,000th post on the DisBoard.

I thought it only fitting to post it on a thread that I had started....not that I've started many.....but given that this particular one will live through to Oct 2013 or page 250 (whichever one comes first), it seemed fitting to post this post here.

It also seems appropriate to post this post on the sub-forum where I've spent the bulk of my time; and also where I've posted most of those 20K posts.

I also appreciate the fact that of all the Dis-sers I've met over the last 20K, this thread brings together (some of) the Dis-sers that I've clicked with the most....

Princess, that's style!

I'm happy to say that our application to rescue Beauty(our to be "Belle" if it doesn't confuse the dear. We'll be calling her Beautibelle for a bit and hope eventually to shorten it to Belle, but if that doesn't happen, I'll understand).
She's coming home to us next week!

So has anyone here given any thought to where you would like to stay on this trip and how many days, or am I just over obsessive?

Alison, I'd LOVE to stay at WL But realistically, I'll probably wind up at Pop. I'd also love to be there for at least four days Maybe this time I can actually make it over to DAK

I've already allotted 7-9 nights of BCV points for around the first week of Oct. That pretty much uses up all my BCV points. Even if we decide to go to Tokyo earlier that year on points, I should still have about 400 SSR & VWL points leftover that could be rented anywhere at 7 months. Either that or we would be forced to return to WDW in the spring and bring friends, so we can get a 2 br.

One of my sons actually gave me the "posting pics on the internet" warning speech!!

Of course he's the one who has a facebook account and numerous pics of himself on that! And I assured him this is the DIS..........the only way my pic might be used is for Halloween advertising purposes!!!

I seem to have been dumped out of the Dis for about 30 minutes. Did the same thing happen to you?

That happened to me last night. We have this huge SmarTV with internet, so I wanted to show our friend that we are taking to the world next spring some food porn. As soon as I did a search on a restaurant I got "the boards will be down for about an hour for maintenance" message.

So we ended up browsing menus on allears.net.
