Real Housewives of NJ--Official Thread

oh, if you look up at that book on amazon, a few people lambasted the author that most of that book is more fiction than fact....very interesting...go down to the reviews.

I'm in! Reality shows are my vice. I can't seem to get away from them and I swore I wouldn't watch this season of McMansions but I can't turn it off!

Me too! They get me every time! I told myself I wasn't going to watch Atlanta and I DEFINITELY wouldn't watch NJ...:rolleyes1

Red Flag to the IRS!!!

The couple who has stacks of cash and pays cash for everthing-that is a BIG sign that he does work for cash to avoid taxes.
And I have NEVER heard of paying the DELIVERY men the bill for furniture-and cash at that!!!:confused3

How much do you want to bet that Bravo knew about the Danielle book gossip and is at least somewhat behind leaking the info?

I would be shocked if they didn't do background checks on these people before putting them on the show. It would be nuts not to, they don't want to get a sex offender on the show, you know? So they had to know about the book and the scandal behind the book. Most of us don't do background checks on our friends, so leak the info to them..and instant drama for ratings.

Jacqueline is pregnant and due any day now. Teresa is due in September. Neither of these situations have been shown on the show yet.

That's wonderful news!!! :goodvibes

That's what I said to DH (we just watched this episode last night). Someone had to know or Danielle couldn't be so dumb to think no one would put a face with a name and bring it up. If Caroline's niece didn't tell her, a fan, friend or someone else would have I'm sure! I wuold have went and told others as well - if you're that concerned about someone, I'd be telling everyone I knew so they were aware of the situation as well!!!

Also, something struck me - she was talking to her friend and Danielle said they'd been friends for like 27 years (I can't remember the exact number...it was late last night!) and the book came out like 24 years ago (or maybe she was arrested 24 years ago??) and she was just now telling him after going on about how great of a friend he was?? I just thought that was really odd...you can't have something like that in your past and not think it wouldn't come out.

Agreed! :thumbsup2:thumbsup2 Not to mention, what owner of a construction company can afford to buy that kind of house?! Not the ones around here! Unless of course he's the one building these million dollar homes, then it MIGHT be believable.

i absolutely love this show. my library has the book cop without a badge i have it on hold.

I promised my boys a trip to the library this weekend and I planned on checking it out while I was there...I can't tell you the last time I read an "adult" book...

I was just surprised at how much cash they just carry around! She whipped out a huge wad of $100 to pay at the furniture store and then he whipped out a huge wad of $100 to pay the delivery guy!

That old gay friend of hers seemed really "strung out"-like he was crashing after a drug high-YKWIM? Sleezy and creepy looking.
:scared1:

People magazine is reporting that Jackie and Theresa are both expecting. One is due in June and the other in September.

So Danielle's name used to be something else? Under her mugshot, it has a different name...:confused3

I missed the last episode. Went to Bravo online and watched it. they had the full episode on their site. :yay:

I too live very near these ladies - and have frequented the Brownstone many times. All I can say is "ugh". Could they have made NJ look ANY worse last night?

I live in Atlanta and have my whole life, I have never felt more embarrassed then I did when I saw the Real Housewives of Atlanta. They did not represent Atlanta. They may show a small portion but not the majority and I could not stand it when they would talk about Atlanta and how everyone was. It was a joke and there were a lot of people that hated the show.

Well, I never watched the Atlanta version:)

I dont even think it faired well in the ratings....

Am curious to know....how they actually cast these shows?! and what criteria do they look for?!

Oh wait, we know that by watching! lol

There was an article in my local paper yesterday how Theresa built her house near me in Montville.

oh, maybe you can bump into her at Chateau and plan a play date with her kids so you can check out that house:)

I wonder if that salon is getting more business now....?!

With such little kids, I would worry that if they fell, as little ones often do, granted they dont have far to fall since they are little ones..everything is a hard surface lol
she can give the Brownstone some competition with having weddings and functions in her house:lmao:
