The Countess is Count-less.

Countess LuAnn de Lesseps, one of the society ladies on Bravo's "The Real Housewives of New York," has separated from Count de Lesseps after 16 years of marriage. Her husband is a Frenchman whose ancestor presented the Statue of Liberty to the United States.

The reality star's publicist, Elizabeth Rosenthal, issued a statement Tuesday saying the couple "plan to remain friends and their primary focus will be to do what is best for their two children."

Rosenthal declined to comment on reports the breakup came after the former model learned The Count, Alex de Lesseps, was having a relationship with another woman.

But the Countess will keep her title, says Rosenthal. Her etiquette book, "Class With the Countess," arrives April 16.


Yeah, I read somewhere else that he fell for a woman in Ethiopia. Countess would call him and he wouldn't answer until he called her back to tell her that he met someone and that it was serious.

One of the comments posted on this article says that the Countess was his 5th wife!

On Page 6 it mentioned that he lives in Geneva and she lives in NY and that is how they lived for years. I would imagine that even the best of marriages would have a hard time with that. I still think she is a snot but I feel bad for all of them because that is just terrible to have to go through.

I wanted to tell Kelly to get over herself. She is so childish and insecure that it is ridiculous! Who on earth invites someone out for drinks just to tell them that you are not friends? What next- Meet me at the flagpole after work? I can't stand Kelly. I think it would have only been better if Bethanny laughed hysterically at her. Then Kelly goes and tells every person she meets about the conversation! What is she- 5?!

Oh- and I cannot stand Mario. He reminds me of some kind of sheister. I wouldn't trust him as far as I could throw him. He was so rude to Jill. I actually prefer Simon to him a million times over.

As odd as I find Alex and Simon I will say that they do always seem to take the high road and rarely say an unkind word about anyone on the show.

Alex and Simon are strange (to me) but Simon was right in calling Ramona and Mario hypocrites.

I love Bethanny...she cracks me up and she totally kept her cool during that interaction with Kelly. The more Kelly talked the more ridiculous she looked. She really is delusional.

The Countess is losing her husband but keeping her title.


Countess LuAnn de Lesseps, one of the cast members on Bravo’s “The Real Housewives of New York,” has separated from Count Alexandre de Lesseps after 16 years of marriage.

Kelly looked like such a fool at her "meeting" with Bethenny. Honestly, who makes a date to let someone know you're not friends and that you're better than them? She's obnoxious. I about died laughing at her "Here's you and here's me" comment. Kelly is a legend in her own mind.

And then she says that Bethenny has no affect on her, yet Bethenny is all she talked to anyone about the entire episode!

Ramona was ridiculous at her dinner with Mario. She had to make sure she stated all of her accomplishments for the camera. And Mario saying "I already know all of that," in regards to her education was really funny.

I actually agreed with Simon calling Ramona a hypocrite. She absolutely was acting hypocritical about that entire situation.

And Jill's apartment makeover? Hideous.
