That show was AWESOME!! It's back! Yeah! :thumbsup2

I am so glad that Danielle is gone and the show is still full of drama.

That party was a car crash....Horrible, yet I cannot look away. In shocked but I just can't stop looking at it.

NYC, NJ and OC are my favorite Real Housewives but I think NJ just took first place! :thumbsup2

I think this season is going to be a fun, bumpy ride and I can't wait! :)

i would like to know why juicy joe's sister was at the christening? that seemed strange to me.
It was mentioned a few times in last night's episode that Joe Gorga and Joe Guidice grew up together. Makes sense to me that Juicy Joe's sister would be at the christening.

For a minute there watching the Gorga's I almost missed Danielle. ;)
Shut your mouth!j/k:goodvibes I am happy to be rid of Danielle's made up drama. Bring on the Gorga's!

First time I watched it. Being from NJ, all I can say is that I know not one housewife like that:lmao: It just seems so scripted and thought out, although I still find it amusing.

I don't know about the Christening being scripted. There appeared to be way to much anger among Uncle Joey and his family to call them 'acting'. AND why would you want to ruin your child's Christening by allowing Bravo to 'script' the Christening and allow what went on last night.

I lived in Hoboken for 4 years and Cherry Hill for 4 years and seriously never met anyone like last nights group…..:headache:

!
Yes, Theresa has mentioned in the past that her family and the Guidices grew up together, that she's know Joe since they were little.
And Joe Gorga said in last night that growing up he actually thought Joe Guidice was his cousin, the families were so close.

I heard she lives in Wayne, which is where I live. That was the Carrado's in Wayne - up on Berdan avenue. It looked like she was riding her bike past the reservoir there near Wayne Hills.

That's what I think too. I knew it was Corrado's as soon as I saw the fresh mozzerella table! But honestly - I've never seen anyone ride thier bike there for groceries before...Berdan's a busy street...that was ood.

I think I read Joe and Theresa claimed bankrupcy which means they don't have to pay back their creditors but doesn't mean they automatically lose their house. I also remember they had to sell alot of their furniture, and the house did seem pretty empty. If they are going into forclosure it could be that they are just staying in the house til the bank finally takes over. Or maybe the Bravo/cookbook money is just enough to cover the mortgage?

They whole family fued seems very fishy to me. Why would Theresa allow her sister-in-law and cousin to be on the show if they all don't get along? I'm sure she had a say in Bravo reaching out to 2 of her family members to be on the show. My friend told me she read that Teresa did NOT know until 1 week before shooting began. Makes sense -- Bravo doesn't need her permission. I thought it was funny that Juicy started the fight but he wasn't even in the room and there were like 4 other grown men fighting at a baptism! And then all the guys decided they needed to go back to the bar!!
How totally GODFATHER was the scene where Joe was screaming at his sick father after the fight? Total cliche! I know! LOLJacqueline does look like she lost a ton of weight but her face also looks different to me. Anyone else think so?

ITA w/Honny. I understand alcohol at christenings BUT not to the point where the guests loose all control and act like raging maniacs. That was ridiculous. I thought Teresa's dad was gloing to have a heart attack as he was so upset by everyone's behavior.

AND I felt the worst for GIA, she has this loving moment with her Uncle Joey (when she returned from the meet) who tells her over and over again he loves her and then right in front of her calls her mother GARBAGE. That was disgusting. Absolutely disgusting. Uncle Joey slamming his hand on the table and blowing up …..

I know. I felt so bad for that little girl. I've never been a fan of Teresa or her family, but that broke my heart.

OK, my take on everything:

1. Jacquelyn/Ashley -- I despise Ashley -- even though I didn't like Danielle last year, I disliked Ashley even more during their whole feud. She is a spoiled BRAT.

2. Manzos -- Love them.

3. I don't like Teresa, but I was more on her side last night than the SIL's -- I think she's TROUBLE. I do agree that they're very alike, though.

4. The cousin . . . she seems 'okay', but her DH is definitely weird/creepy.

The Gorgas/Giudices (and the Gorgas' friends) should be ashamed of themselves. Acting that way in front of all of those kids -- at a christening, no less. Pathetic.

I think it's hysterical that Ashley is interning for Lizzie Grubman.

Folks outside NY may not recognize her, but she was big news around here 10 years ago, when she ran over 16 people in the parking lot of a Hamptons nightclub, after becoming enraged when a bouncer asked her to move her car.

She's pretty much been off the NY news media's radar for a long time now. I wonder if this internship was set up as a way to get back in the limelight.

I'm familiar with the story and was thinking this is no coincidence when I saw Ashley interning for her as well. If you watch enough "reality" tv, you start learning to see little patterns of connections and realize there are no coincidences.

I didn't know who Lizzie Grubman was, but it rubbed me the wrong way when she was telling Jacquelyn that Ashley needed to be more responsible (i.e., show up every day!) -- which I agree with 100% -- but then when Jacquelyn is reiterating what the boss says, Ashley starts crying and the boss is consoling her. Huh?! And I agree, that given this information about who she is, that this is no coincidence that Ashley is interning for her.

I'm an Italian New Yorker and my dh's family is off the boat, but taking shots isn't an "important" part of the culture, especially at a christening! The guys were all wasted drunk and had a chip on their shoulder about Joe G to begin with (whether justified or not).
I agree. I'm also Italian, from Jersey, and my grandparents on both sides were 1st generation Americans. Shots at a christening is in no way any part of the culture. We have never done that at a baptism.

Yes, they were very drunk and I agree that they should have been respecting the sacredness of the Christening somewhat more, but taking out the alcohol factor, it was an insult for Joe not to join them in toasting/honoring the tradition of family/Joe's son.
I really don't think it was any honor or tradition. I think they were already drunk (as evidenced by drinking before they even went to the church), and decided to do a round of shots just to drink more.

There was drinking at an infants Christening. There was an open bar! All the adults looked like orange traffic cones, the kids normal complexion, but the adults 5 shades darker. I can't do it. I need a serious break from the Housewives. SO FAKE!
All of my kids christenings were open bar. In fact, my son's christening was held at the same place as the baby last night. (Different room though, ours was upstairs on the other side of the building.)

Having liquor at the party is not a big deal. We had liquor at our children's Christenings. Not everyone is a raging drunk. Some adults like a drink at a party. It's not a big deal. We have parties like that all the time.
I agree.

Who knows, maybe they are.... ;)

Honestly, I think that was for show. She could barely get back on that bike after she loaded it with the groceries so it doesn't look like she rides it often. And really, having lived in NJ for 18 years, I never saw anyone bike anywhere in that area (my mom lives in Montville). It really isn't a very bike friendly area, much too suburban for biking to stores.

So that's who she is! I *knew* the name sounded so familiar but just couldn't place it!

I know I LOL-ed when I saw Lizzie's name. One train wreck crashes into another :lmao:

I could not get over how SKINNY Lizzie Grubman was, she looked like the poster child for aneroxia. It was frightening to look at. Her skin was overbaked and gaunt and you could almost see her bones through her clothing.

Actually, he called his sister #$&*(@# GARBAGE.

...So I can't relate to that whole drama. But I can totally relate to Caroline being sad that her kids are moving out. She wasn't barring the door, she really did know they needed to get out on their own. She was just emotional about it. I can totally relate.

Me too...my only is going off to college this fall. These days I often think of Anna Freud's saying... "A mother is to be left."

I can relate to the Jaqueline and Ashley story , too, at least to a point. My DD is 13 so I am just getting into the teen daughter thing. But I know how it feels to never be able to say anything right. You think you are helping, but whatever you suggest, they just shut down/cry/blow up. What I cannot relate to is the way they discussed living arrangements, ending with Ashley in tears, in front of her "boss". Do neither of them know how to behave professionally? When the boss says you need to show up everyday, the answer is "I will." Then if their are issues with the commute, address them in private. Don't whine about it in front of the boss. Whatever issues DD and I have, we don't drag it out in front of everyone.

Preaching to the choir sister, preaching to the choir.

And I think Lizzie is a train wreck just waiting to happen, that whole consoling thing towards Ashley was just plain stupid. I bet the other interns rrrrrrreally love this prima-donna who doesn't pull her own weight and gets sucked up to by the boss.

agnes!

Wouldn't surprise me, especially since she was part of a reality series on MTV a while back, so she's comfortable with the genre. I guess we'll see how often she shows up on this season of RHONJ.

Yep...paid or unpaid, there is absolutely no way that not showing up for an internship position would be tolerated in the real world.

I know...time has not been kind to Miss Lizzie. Although her overbaked look fits right in with the Oompa Loompa look favored by the Jersey girls!

Yeah, it has to be a publicity stunt. I mean, is Ashley even attending college? An internship like that, with a well-known NYC PR firm is not easy to come by, and is usually reserved for outstanding students in their junior and senior years of college. My guess is the only thing outstanding about Ashley is a few parking tickets!

OMG, I'm so late, didn't even know this thread existed! LOL, anywaaay, I just wanted to say last night was a MESS. What happened at that christening was HORRENDOUS...

I told my fiance we need to get some religious Italian friends, looked like fun to me. ;)
