Real Housewives of Beverly Hills

Does anyone else think that Bravo putting Kim in the spotlight with her addiction issues is playing with fire? I don't see this ending well. Just thinking of the Taylor/Russell situation :guilty:.

Yes, but really, Kim should have exited the show once she went to treatment this last time. Putting a recovering alcohol/addict in a situation where there is drinking is asking for trouble. Kim should have known better.

I agree with Kyle playing it up a bit.

I took Lisa's comments at the table as more of an apology versus bringing it all back up again, and to me, Kim just seemed out of line when she could have just said thanks and moved on.

Kim did say something to Yolanda and Brandy about her and Lisa talking about it both on the plane and through texts. With these shows I always try to remember there are things going on behind the scenes. Sometimes a reaction seems totally off but only because we see what the producers want us to.
I do think Kim's behavior is cause to worry. I just don't think Lisa R. has been there long enough to insert herself in the situation like she has been.
I also think the TV factor comes into play with how Kim reacted. She knows what Lisa has been saying will play into her (Kim's) storyline. She was probably starting to figure out that was going to be her storyline this season and that's got to be hard to realize.

Kyle should too though. She's the one who got Kim on the show in the first place. I'm pretty sure I've read that Kyle has been pushing behind the scenes to keep Kim on.
Now, it probably has a lot to do with Kim needing the money but having Kim and her antics on TV for all to see certainly make Kyle look good.

I wonder who would hang out together if they weren't on the show? I think Lisa and Kyle would. But honestly do you think Yolanda would be hanging out with Kim and Brandy o_O I don't. Who do you think hangs out together after the cameras are gone?

I have heard Yolanda say that she only sees Brandy during filming. That says a lot!

If you read Brandy's blog, she is always name dropping; she calls Yolanda "Yo", and repeats her name many, many times....now she mentions her " good friend" Leeza (from Celebrity Apprentice.). She is just nasty, and I liked her when she first joined the show. Not anymore, I hope she is off the show next season

Kyle and Lisa V. were friends before the show. I think their relationship has been fairly strained by the show so I don't think they hang out much anymore.
Lisa V. and Brandy were apparently developing a real friendship at one point but that went sour.
Yolanda and Lisa must run in the same circle at least somewhat because Yolanda was married to Mohammed and Lisa seems to be good friends with him.

Lisa V and Kyle seemed pretty chummy this season, I bet they are friends and hang out though. I'm sorry but Brandy and Kim really need to go they are so annoying and I have grown tired of them :D be gone now lol.....

I am on the opposite fence of everyone which isn't unusual. Kim has appeared to be sober the last few seasons up until the limo ride with Lisa R. I do believe she took the pain pills as Lisa R never said she smelled alcohol. Kim was also put into the hospital for a week after that. Here's where my opposite opinion comes in...I think Lisa R should take some blame. Kim did ask her to stop but yet she brings it up again at dinner in front of everyone. All an addict hears is "I'm bad" even when someone says they are coming from a good place. For Lisa R to continually bring it up, the "I'm bad" brews in Kim's head. Adrienne Moloof did it the right way seasons ago. She was walking with Kim alone, asked Kim what was going on, did she need help and she was there if Kim needed it. Adrienne didn't continually bring it up everywhere they went.

I watched an online segment of a producer of Vanderpump Rules who said they put them together and suggest things but don't tell them what to do. I'm guessing this "let's tell something about ourselves" was probably suggested by the producers. They know what will get the blood pumping in these women. To continually bring up "you have a problem" to an addict or former addict is only feuling the fire. With all the people in Lisa R's life that were addicts and died, you'd think she'd know this. Lisa R admits Kim told her to back off but yet one day later, there she was again on Kim's back. Kim lashed out. Kim said a lot of crappy things which were not right but after the plane ride, what exactly did Lisa R expect?

Kyle? The all about me Kyle. I feel badly for her having an addict for a sister and having to deal with it but I have noticed in all these seasons that Brandi may have a little bit of truth in Kyle. I think there is deep resentment that Kim was a bigger child actor than she was and it has boiled on her mind for years. Sounds silly but I found out when my mom died that my sister has held deep resentment for years on something. I could see my sister befriending Lisa R/Eileen and not at least saying "she asked you to drop it but also she shouldn't have gone off like that" Say something Kyle. Tell these women to drop it and you'd discuss it with Kim at home! Maybe that's why Kim and Kathy get along a lot better is because Kathy doesn't hold the resentment toward Kim that Kyle does as Kathy never wanted to act.

And Brandi is right (even though I don't like Brandi), the women are hypocrites. They talk about Brandi all the time yet Brandi makes the comment that Kyle smoked weed and now Kyle wants to protect her kids? What about Brandi's kids when you talk about her?

Eileen is a bore. Wrong of Kim to call her a beast but she shouldn't have poked in on the argument. Just added fuel. Then when Kim and Kyle got into it, Lisa R starts talking to Kim as a mother would "not cool to talk to your sister like that". None of her business. I just don't get how these people don't think that when you butt in, you aren't going to get slammed by someone who is already mad? I'm kind of tired of these season and won't be said when it's over. I'm tired of Kyle's poor me, Kim's addiction, Brandi and her mouth, Lisa R (I like her attitude on life but tired of her "i'm here to save the world routine), Eileen is boring and I'm not much of a fan of Lisa V. Lisa V has been better this season though. I actually like Adrienne and Camielle and wouldn't mind them coming back.

I'm so on the other side of the fence from everyone, bring on NY and Bethenny. I was a huge fan of hers.

She wasn't on Kim's back though. She was talking about her life and why she is so sensitive to the issue of addiction.

Yeah she was on Kim's back. She directly addressed Kim.

Addressing her isn't on her back though. I viewed it as her giving context to why she had acted the way she did.

On another note, Kim and Kyle are really dysfunctional. I wonder where they stand in their relationship now. It sounds like the reunion was pretty interesting.

It is being on her back if she's constantly bringing it up.
Regardless of why she was so concerned, she was repeatedly asked to stop and she just wouldn't.
I don't think Kim handled it well but I do understand where she was coming from.
I also think Brandi was in Kim's ear about Lisa R. and that made it worse.
Think about it, you've struggle with addiction for so long, you have made progress in addressing it. Someone new comes along, someone you barely know and then you hear she's going around talking to people about your issues. You make it clear you don't want her involved but she just keeps bringing it up anyways.
Then add that this will all be on TV and you could easily be portrayed as slipping backwards in your sobriety.

I feel that after seeing how messed up Kim was the night of the Poker event that LisaR truly wanted to help Kim get help. If Kim had passed away the next day while in the hospital a lot of people would be saying why didn't anyone who knew she was having trouble step in and try to help her. This is why most people who do know an addict can only do so much because the backlash from the addict and those enabling the addict it intense. All Kim had to do was calmly accept her apology. Lets not forget LisaR saw some suspicious activity from Kim and that's why she went into full gear into trying to see if Kim needed additional help.

I wonder if Brandy was fueling Kims fire and thats part of why Kim acted that way? I'm not saying she isn't responsible for her own actions but if you have someone chirping in your ear agreeing with you? I wouldn't miss Kim or Brandy if they were to leave show, Kim could concentrate on herself and Brandy? hmmm ;) could do her podcast and write books o_O

It also seemed to me that the other housewives know Harry's secret that Kim was going to tell based on the body language as the camera panned around the table. It looked like Kyle started to try and hush Kim because she didn't want Kim to reveal what ever the secret it is. Also, I wonder if the production team cut some of the argument out because LisaR did seem to go from calm to totally outraged fast. I bet she wishes she had that moment back.

She probably isn't proud of it, but I don't see her reacting any differently of she had a do over.

I could not agree with you more sasywtch. I cannot imagine being in Holland with a group of women and one of them saying "Let's go around and tell something about ourselves" was a total set up to get things heated. I agree that Lisa R and Eileen should have let it go or should have talked to Kim on the side alone. But that doesn't make for good television/ratings and we would not be talking as much about it.

I also agree about Brandi - even though I think she is brash and trashy, I agree that it's not fair that Kyle and the other women talk about her drinking and other things and then when she mentions smoking pot with Kyle she freaks out. Good for her (never thought I would say that).

Did anyone else notice Lisa R and Yolanda's brother seemed quite chummy? Every scene where they were walking she was holding onto his arm and I think in one scene they were holding hands (when they had left the "coffee shop"). Take a look - I'm surprised nobody caught that.... :rolleyes1

I noticed LIsa R walking and holding Yolanda's brothers arm but I didn't think anything of it. I think Lisa R is just a really friendly outgoing person and Yolandas brother seemed friendly so it was natural they gravitated to each other. I totally didn't think it was in a romantic way, more like the just "clicked" as friends and enjoyed hanging out. She seems head over heels in love with Harry.
