I think I'm coming down from my week-long planning high enough for a coherent post.
It's been awhile since I've been to any Disney park, I'd had a trip planned for 2007 but that fell apart when I went into renal (kidney) failure and eventually needed dialysis and a transplant.
Now I'm ready to hit the parks again.
DW and I started out talking about a week in New Orleans...her idea of Heaven. I kept looking at the map and kept thinking that If I was already this far South, I could possibly talk her into cutting out 2-3 days of New Orleans for a little side trip. DW has been pretty agreeable but suggested something even better; I drive her to New Orleans and then take off the next morning for my own trip to WDW.
It's a dream come true. Sure, I make plans like it's the D-Day invasion but I usually have to allow for the impromptu stuff she wants like shopping and characters.
This time it' s all about ME!

I'm waiting for any specials that come out in Nov-Dec, but plan on staying three days at ASSp, going to AK and MNSSHP (if the dates hold out) one day and going to Epcot the next. DW catches up with me the following day and I get us an extra two days at POFQ, the two of us hitting a second MNSSHP together.
Right now I'm half-worried (and nothing can be done) about my ASSp room. Most of all I want a courtyard view, preferably in either Homerun, Touchdown or Surf. (Paying for standard room, I'm not holding out a lot of hope for Surf.) Since I use an ECV, 1st floor would be nice and I'm thinking about requesting an acessable room. I really don't want Hoops or a parking lot view. (Hat trick ****y-prize: 3rd floor parking lot view in Hoops)
POFQ is somewhat simpler as my only request is a 1st fl corner room and no big loss if unable to get it. I will have to get a standard room with a tub seat though as DW prefers baths over showers.
Fingers are crossed for FD for the ASSp stay and I'll be sticking with the basic QSDP. I don't really care about the removal of the snack with FD and since I've never had FD before I don't think I'll miss what I've never had. Most of the meals will be whenever I feel like it and have picked out a number of places I want to try. One TS I will have is lunch at the Biergarten in Epcot, I'm just on the fence as to whether or not to get an ADR or just wing it.
I've got DW revved up for MNSSHP so much I decided to hit an earlier one first to get the rides out of my system so I can stick with her and relax a bit with some shows and treats.
