Ready to make reservations...DU questions

I'm about ready to make my reservations for next year. I was thinking I would use Dreams Unlimited because booking so far out I'm afraid I won't catch the AP codes if and when they come out and would feel better knowing that someone was keeping an eye out for me! I was wondering if I should request a specific agent(s) and if that is even allowed? If it is okay to do that, WHO should I ask for? (I have read only a few posts where DISers were unhappy with their DU agents. I don't know who those agents were, but I don't want them, lol.) TIA

Hi, we have been using DU since late 2000 (this will be our 4th trip using them) and they have always gotten us AP rates even when we booked far ahead. I don't know if you can request an agent the first time you book. Our agent has also always been great about making us PS, even the hard to get ones. She also deals with our changes (which at times can be numerous) without blinking an eye. She has been great to us. Her name is Regina.

You can either request an agent, or you can work with the agent that processes your reservation. It is completely your choice. I'm sure no matter who you get you will be in good hands

As you can see by my tag (a very belated "thank you" to the tag fairy!), I LOVE DU!

Cathy Miller is my agent and she is great! I am using her for a WDW vacation this year, and a couple years ago she helped me with a DL vacation. She is great with communicating with her clients, even letting us know if she's going to be away for a while.

It seems like most people really like the agents they've worked with, I think you'd be okay just putting in your request and see who you get.

Not only has she been a great agent over the course of a few trips now, but I had the pleasure of meeting up with her and her family in WDW last year and shes very nice too!

I've also been working with Joe at Dream Come True
Vacations on a lagre 3 family reservation. He was also great and responded to all of my questions quickly. They also check for deals as the dates of travel get closer. They've been good about helping me decide on what we want for our vacation before putting a hold on rooms I don't want. I didn't receive this same level of service from other online agents.

Thanks to all! I made my down payment today -- October 8-17, 2005 -- 10 days/9nights at POFQ for DD and I! I didn't request anyone specific, and was assigned Susan Haass. So far she seems great already. Yep, less than a day and I already had questions, LOL. Thanks again! (Now if I could only find a way to make my countdown move a bit faster... )
