We have wanted to do this since we first stayed in bwv in 1996.
I love yacht and beach and the bcv will be great for us.
Here is the question. Would we do better calling and doing the purchase over the phone? We will be at yacht April 31- May4 and on the Wonder 4 day May 5-8. Would we be better waiting and talking to someone in person there? Is there someone really good to deal with? Susan

hi: that will depend on how comfortable you are with just talking on the phone. we did our initial purchase at bwv over the phone, sight unseen. the guide they assigned us, celeste, was very good about calling back if we had any questions. we had looked into okw very briefly in 93, but we waited for bwv. we only met our guide after we bought another bwv contract before they sold out. the faq on this site as well as reading the postings will give you a lot of info.

We also bought sight unseen at BWV through Celeste. She's wonderful! Kept us informed in the purchase process, and let us discuss posiblities of resale vs BCV with her. We made it a point to stop and meet her when we were there in February.

We purchased BCV's completely over the phone. Our guide was very efficient, made sure we were able to make ressies immediately and got things accomplished quickly. We've always loved going the the Beach Club, so when the BCV's were built it was almost 'a must' for us. We put a down payment on our Visa (mileage points) and the next day I called and made ressies for a Nov. trip..
We will be meeting our guide, Brian, when we go on our next trip the first of May.
Good luck with your decision. :)

There are some incentives that might not be there in early May...not to pressure but they're pretty good incentives if you've already decided to purchase.

We bought over the phone, sight unseen. It was easy and there's no real advantage I know of for doing the purchase on-site. As others have stated, it's your comfort level that should determine that.

Also, there is some sort of waiting period after you make a deposit. I can't remember how long. It might make sense to put the deposit down before you go and you can change your mind while you're there if you have a change of heart. Just make sure you know exactly when that "cooling off" period expires. It's a timeshare law thing.

I believe it is 15 days.......

There are good incentives right now... I like Granny's suggestion of calling before they run out yet leaving you time to inspect BCV in person.... Not sure when the incentives are ending....Anyone know??

I am not sure if you get a better finace rate in person... I do know you get the choice of 5 dollars off/free nights both by phone and in person.

Hope that helps

:)

Our guide is the best. He also works on the Disney Magic in between WDW assigments, so I think he could give you alot of pointers on your subsequent cruise. His name is Roland Lammers. If you'd like his direct number just send me an email. I know he'll be more than happy to answer any questions that you might have.

I just added on 100 points at BCV over the phone today. I know I'm going to like it, I love BWV location.

I put the whole 7,000 on my credit card because I wanted to earn all the rebate points I could.
