I know... everyone asks about which loop is better, and it gets kind of tiresome. Still... I'd like to make my ressies today and I just need a few 'don't worry, you'll have a great time whichever loop you get' kind of reminders.

I have a pop-up and I'm a cheapskate. That means I'm drawn towards reserving a pop-up loop. I think I'd like the location of the 1500 loop, but the 2000 loop seems kind of far from the places I like to frequent (trading post, campfire, marina). I don't mind a bit of a walk, but I have 3 small kids and they walk slow. We'll have bikes with trailers, but if we get the 2000 loop we would probably want to spring for a golf cart, offsetting the savings of having the pop up loop in the first place.

Alternatively I could choose a preferred site. I'm having a hard time deciphering which loops exactly will be preferred in November. 100-300 and 1600-1900 I think. And maybe 900-1100.

Pop-up site or preferred site? I'll be happy either way, right? The 2000 isn't SO far away from everything, right? The only other time I've camped at the fort I was in the 800 loop, right next to the bus stop/comfort station. We loved it. But since I've only been there once, I suffer from the fear that any other loop will not be as good and will make me disappointed.

I would stay in 1500 hands down with out a GC. BTW 1600 thru 1900 is full hookups. So as of now 100 thru 300 and 900 thru 1100 are preferred.

Per your request, here are a few 'don't worry, you'll have a great time whichever loop you get' reminders:

'don't worry, you'll have a great time whichever loop you get'

'don't worry, you'll have a great time whichever loop you get'

'don't worry, you'll have a great time whichever loop you get'

There you go.

A few things for you to consider:

Right now, there are four possible levels of reservations:

Premium

Preferred

Full

Partial

You are correct that there are two partial loops, ie 1500 and 2000. I don't expect that to change.

As of right now, the premium loops are 400, 500, 600, 700, 800, 1200, 1300 and 1400.

As of right now, the preferred loops are 100, 200 and 300.

As of right now, the full hook up loops are 900, 1000, 1100, 1600, 1700, 1800 and 1900. I just stayed in 900 with a full hook up reservation two weeks ago, so I can confirm that they have not classified 900-1100 as preferred.

The original announcement regarding loop conversions was that 900-1100 would be converted from full hook up loops to premium loops. So far, that has not happened. But, it could happen before November. Or, it is possible that the plans have changed, but no announcement has been made. The original plans were to completely do away with the full hook up designation altogether, but it appears that WDW has back peddled on this plan, and that 1600-1900 are going to remain classified as full hook up loops.

So what should you do?

If you really don't want to be on 2000, then do not reserve a partial loop. 1500 is a small loop, and there is no way to guarantee that you will get that loop. Based on numbers alone, it is much more likely that you will be assigned to 2000 than 1500. In my personal opinion, the 2000 loop is fine, and I, personally, would rather be on that loop than some of the premium loops (like the new part of the 600 loop for example). But everyone is different, and has different priorities. If being in the middle of the action is important to you, then do not reserve a partial or full site. Go for a preferred or premium site. But, I personally have a problem with paying what I think is $30 more per night for a premium site, when a partial site will be just as nice, and in some cases nicer.

And, even though the 1500 loop is small, you might get assigned to it.

We stayed in the 1500 loop last year and loved it! Right across from the pool, right by the bus and nice and quiet. I wish we could stay there for the next trip, but we have an RV now. I don't have any first hand knowledge of the 2000 loop.Sorry.

Thanks. This breakdown ought to be added to the loop conversion sticky at the top of the page. Its very helpful.

And thanks also for the reminder. Yes, I know I'll have a good time even if I'm 30 paces further away from the comfort station.
