Today I was library helper at the kids' school. Sometime I would read a story to them, or the teacher would. Today they were able to have Melissa Gilbert of Little House on the Prairie fame, read a story to them on the overhead projecter.

The kids loved this and enjoyed having someone else read to them.

The librarian mentioned she was struggling to find other webistes that had videos of people actually READING the book to the children. Any suggestions?

I tried Reading Rainbow but they only seem to have the audio.

Thanks:goodvibes

Mind if I ask where you found the one with Melissa Gilbert?

I don't know, I will ask the librarian. :goodvibes I was busy putting the books away so I got to look up and see her on the screen reading to the kids, it did say where but I did not catch it. It was cute, she read to them a story about a girl not liking her older redheaded brother but then she fell and he carried her home and ran for the doctor, she then grew to appreciate him. Melissa Gilbert read it very well and with great inflection.

So the librarian was commenting on her struggle to find others like that, so I googled some and did not find to much, so I thought I would ask here.:flower3:

I bet the site that you are talking about is: www.storylineonline.net It is a wonderful site I use it with my students all of the time. Unfortunately I have not been able to find others like it.
