Reading the Dis just makes me happy!!

I found the Disboards as I was planning last year for my first Cruise, 4 day Wonder. It was a girls only trip, me, my DD age 6, my mom, cousin and aunt. It was a trip I will never forget.

We are now booked for a 7-day Eastern next April 29, 2006 (20 family members). My husband can't understand why I regularly check in on this site. I can't explain it, but it just makes me happy. Even though our trip is almost a year away reading the dis brings back memories of my previous trip and heightens the expectations for the next one. If I need a pick-me-up I drop by the DCL Disboards.

When we go next year and my husband has the time of his life I'll say "See, all that time I spent reading the dis was worth it!!"

My husband found other sites (ie: davesdcltribute.com) and was reading a bunch of info to me (navigators, menus, etc.), but then I found this site and got hooked. Your DH will (hopefully) get hooked as time goes by. Best wishes to you and your family for your next cruise!

Hey, I'll be on that cruise too! With my DH, DS7, and DD6.
I also check in with the DIS everyday! SOOOO much to learn...

It may help your DH to understand the stregnth of the board by having him read the repositioning cruise "Live from..." thread. The community/family and unity of this board is so string there it should help him understand.

Pop over to the cruise meet board and get to know the others on your cruise before you go. It will add an additional dimention to your trip.

I never would have known about the all new online registration without this site or about how great the REAS package is. My sister and I plan to give my parents that for Christmas. (they are paying for the entire cruise!! ) There is so much more I've learned I could list.

My DD will be 9 and my DS will be 7 when we cruise next year. Maybe my son will meet up with yours in the clubs.

Traveling will be my dad's entire family, me, my sister and our families as well as my uncle and his daughters and their families. There will be 6 other kids ranging in age from 3-12.

Well, I got my fix for the night, gotta go because the finale of the Apprentice is about to start.

I feel exactly the same way. Don't worry about DH-for some reason they just never "get it" But they'll sure enjoy all of our knowledge when they are on the cruise or in the parks!!

In Feb. we visited WDW and I had read a ton on the resort, restaurant and parks threads. I really planned a lot for that trip.

My husband told everybody I was "obssesed with planning" before we went . But that first evening when we flew in and were able to make it to Ohana's in time to watch the fireworks over the castle while we ate a wonderful meal, he had to admit I had learned a few valuable things from reading the boards.

Both to cruising and the DIS. We were on the 4/24 4-Nite Wonder and have rebooked on board the same cruise, 4/29/06 Eastern!
