Sheri- You are fashion diva with all the cool shoes. I feel very frumpy right now and I am off to Church. Kids have their last mass of the school year today and the parents are being honoured.

If I had legs like you have I would be showing them off to in pretty shoes.
Why nab, thank you very much, sweetie!! But Pongo is the real Diva. I am an amateur in comparison.

Last edited by horsegirl : Today at 08:59 AM. Reason: sure sher, make all the boys drool more! that was for marky, wasn't it....and sher, picked up a gorgreous pair of joan & david's last night... have em on right now... ;)

fire up the Nikon baby, mama wants to see.

And, no, not for Mark. Mark gets the full-on little black dress. 'Cause he asked so sweetly!! :teeth:

I'm away (for all practical purposes) for two days, and Sher has promised my husband something...that HE asked for? And Pongo had an hour of need and I missed it? And Tink is having tummy troubles? And I don't know what else because I don't have time to DIS this morning and catch up on all I've missed. Hopefully tomorrow I'll be back to play.

In good news, we're having fun with Wendy. Especially Wesley. He told her last night he NEVER wants her to leave. Unfortunately, she has to... tomorrow. So it will likely be a sad, sad day in the MarkyMark household. They got our A/C fixed temporarily, and are replacing it tomorrow, supposedly. We woke up to 68º, as opposed to 96º. Much better. MUCH. Also good news, Wesley ate two helpings of dinner last night. Which I THINK means that he is finally, finally feeling better. He hasn't eaten in a month. So I hope this is the beginning of the end. Of that.

This afternoon, we're off to see Cars. With Wendy. I wonder if it's as much fun to watch a movie with her, as it is to see PhilharMagic with her? Guess I'll find out today.

Okay boys and girls, someone fill me in. I'm only 8 PMs away from a full box. No, no, I'm not begging. Just sayin'!! :teeth: Have a good day, all!!

Rhonda :)

Mornin' Everyone!

Just a drive by

My tooth (or non-tooth) is still hurting so I've been in a bit of a funk lately.

Lou - your pictures were funny! What was that saying.....it only hurts, when you laugh. :teeth:

Pongo - hope all is well now. Don't know what was up but :grouphug:

Later, taters!

Drive-by Posting :moped: Busy at work people want their phone and interent service working, picky picky.

Hello everyone. Maelstrom. :clown:

Daniel-san :artist:

Morning shout outs to ALL!

Here's a little funny for you.

Subject: Bathtub test

It doesn't hurt to take a hard look at yourself from time to time,
and this should help get you started. During a visit to the mental asylum,
a visitor asked the Director what the criterion was which defined whether
or not a patient should be institutionalized.

"Well," said the Director, "we fill up a bathtub, then we offer a
teaspoon, a teacup and a bucket to the patient and ask him or her to empty
the bathtub."

"Oh, I understand," said the visitor. "A normal person would use the
bucket because it's bigger than the spoon or the teacup."

"No." said the Director, "A normal person would pull the plug. Do
you want a bed near the window?" :-)

What, it's still morning isn't it?

Morning Shout-out – YAK, Sher, HorseyBubbles, La2, Rhonda, Em's Mom, Grammy, Ash, 2IAB, Kimmiepoo, Donna, Mel, Tink, JavaSteph, Shelby, Haley, Brandt, SNAP, PrincessAurora (you're back!), Frickles, Dana, NM, PPG, PP, MP, DMM, ODG, Sid, NAB, Minnie, spectrum-turbo, Mark, Lou, Chapstick, Ed, Joe, MG, LG, hoop, Mr. Silly, ZZUB (the Blog master), and whoever I missed that will never let me forget it (again)

Good news from the Kitty household! Husband does NOT need more knee surgery! Woohoo! He has a nondisplaced something something of the tibia (a fracture at the head of his tibia). SO, he MUST wear his knee immobilizer and MUST use his crutches, but assuming he stays off the leg, it will heal without further intervention! Hooray!

Now:
Tink - so sorry to hear you are feeling under the weather!
MarkyMarks - so glad to hear that Wesley is feeling better. I think I might take the girl to Cars either tomorrow or Friday.
Sid - get some sleep girl!
Lou - I think I split my side open. Except for the MJ as Clown. That caused me to ZZUB (I think)
PPG - Hope you are cheered up. Do we need to go beat someone up for you? Cause we will. You know we will.
Melly - hope you had a lovely day with your mother!
Horsey - does that mean you bought a new pair of shoes? I'm fashion challenged.
Haley - Have a lovely last day of school.
Ed - we all know that the internet is essential. I'm sorry, but we all depend on you to keep it running.
YAK - hope the tooth is feeling better soon. Yuck. I had wisdom teeth taken out when I was 19.
Sher - nice shoes, again.
Everyone else - I think about you often, 'kay? I just can't keep that many thoughts in my head at one time. Please forgive me.

It rained here this morning. Finally. For a few minutes.

TO ALL THE KIDS WHO SURVIVED the 1930's 40's, 50's, 60's and 70's !!

First, we survived being born to mothers who smoked and/or drank while they were pregnant. They took aspirin, ate blue cheese dressing, tuna from a can, and didn't get tested for diabetes.

Then after that trauma, we were put to sleep on our tummies in baby cribs covered with bright colored lead-based paints. We had no childproof lids on medicine bottles, doors or cabinets and when we rode our bikes, we had no helmets, not to mention, the risks we took hitchhiking. As infants & children, we would ride in cars with no car seats, booster seats, seat belts or air bags.

Riding in the back of a pick up on a warm day was always a special treat. We drank water from the garden hose and NOT from a bottle. We shared one soft drink with four friends, from one bottle and NO ONE actually died from this. We ate cupcakes, white bread and real butter and drank kool aid made with sugar, but we weren't overweight because WE WERE ALWAYS OUTSIDE PLAYING!

We would leave home in the morning and play all day, as long as we were back when the streetlights came on. No one was able to reach us all day and we were O.K.

We would spend hours building our go-carts out of scraps and then ride down
the hill, only to find out we forgot the brakes. After running into the bushes a few times, we learned to solve the problem.

We did not have Playstations, Nintendo's, X-boxes, no video games at all, no 150 channels on cable, no video movies or DVD's, no surround-sound or CD's, no cell phones, no personal computers, no Internet or chat rooms WE HAD FRIENDS and we went outside and found them!

We fell out of trees, got cut, broke bones and teeth and there were no
lawsuits from these accidents. We ate worms and mud pies made from dirt, and the worms did not live in us forever. We were given BB guns for our 10th birthdays, made up games with sticks and tennis balls and, although we were told it would happen, we did not put out very many eyes.

We rode bikes or walked to a friend's house and knocked on the door or rang the bell, or just walked in and talked to them!

Little League had tryouts and not everyone made the team. Those who didn't had to learn to deal with disappointment. Imagine that!! The idea of a parent bailing us out if we broke the law was unheard of. They actually sided with the law!

These generations have produced some of the best risk-takers, problem solvers and inventors ever! The past 50 years have been an explosion of innovation and new ideas. We had freedom, failure, success and responsibility, and we learned HOW TO DEAL WITH IT ALL!

If YOU are one of them CONGRATULATIONS!

You might want to share this with others who have had the luck to grow up as
kids, before the lawyers and the government regulated so much of our lives for our own good. And while you are at it, forward it to your kids so they will know how brave (and lucky) their parents were.

Kind of makes you want to run through the house with scissors, doesn't it?!

Yay Kitty. Nice that the DH isn't going to be laid up for awhile.

One more thinker for you this morning then I'm out for awile

Notice that the exam took FIVE HOURS to complete. Gives the saying "He only had an 8th grade education." a whole new meaning, doesn't it?!

Also shows you how poor our education system has become... and, NO I don't have the answers to this test. (Within Orthography, I had to look up the definition of that word as well as etymology, subvocals, dipthong and linguals. My Webster's Dictionary did not contain the word 'trigraph' so I had to search on the Web.)

I just got back from Church and still teary eyed. The kids were so mushy and said nice things, then they gave us a pack of seeds that said "you Deserve a bouquet of thanks" and my two kids got to take me to the front of the church with the other parents and they all applauded and my kids were beaming.

Horesy- No eggs but it was really gross looking. It was like a big Kabasa thing that looked like dog.....My husband was even sick enough to take a picture with the kids in front. This was after we had a nice pic with the Easter egg.

Sheri- You are right I am a Canadian, And I am guessing only a couple of hours away from Mel.

Rhonda here's the story of the dress...WHy are we communicating online? Weird, huh?

Anyway, last night, everyone was telling Sher how good her pictures were. She or someone complained about the fact that you couldn't see the little bla :happytv: ck dress she told us so much about that day when nothing was working. So I jumped on the bandwagon and said, yeah, you didn't even show us the dress. Then she said she would get dressed up and take another picture just for me. Cause I'm special. DOn't you think?

hee hee

I also offered to take pictures of my feet on the dash, and my legs (not in a dress) and post them ala Sher style. But everyone was begging me not to. They didn't want to zzub. So I thought I would refrain. i think.

Blessings!

Somebody complained about it, though I don't remember who, and I jumped on the bandwagon. Again, reminds me of a line from Harlem Nights...

Della Reece goes into the refridgerator looking for some orange juice. Only to find that someone has drunk it all and left just a swallow. She then goes on a tirade about what idiot would leave the box in the fridge with just a swallow in it. She says, "Get my mouth all set for orange juice and there ain't nothing let but a swallow!"

That line tripped me out so much that I have remembered it all these years.

So, when you mentioned pictures of the little black dress, we had our mouths all set for that, and you didn't give us anything but a swallow. See?

This was indeed a poor attempt at humor. When I first started typing, I thought it might be funny. But alas, I think I have missed the mark.

Oh well.

Is it still the thought that counts?

Blessings!

Marky, a word of advice, well actually a couple....quit while you are ahead! You are sinking deeper. :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:
