Who knew I had filters on my computer that I had to turn off to get a picture of belly dancing? Certainly not me :confused3

Horsey's kitty is much better behaved:

Using specific examples from the text or websites give an example of an early photograph that aroused your curiosity. Discuss the magnetism of this picture. Is it the technique, the subject matter, or the point of view of the photographer?

I think this pic is interesting.

I think it is odd how the people on the right are sort of "posing" for the picture, but not looking at the camera. Old pictures are odd. Especially the ones of people that are not smiling in the least. Everybody looks mean.

It seems as if I recall that there were (are?) some cultures that believe if you smile for a picture you lose your soul.

Odd. To me anyway.

And thanks to everyone for telling me that Horsey had started a thread.

Geez, people...do you expect me to actually look for myself?!?!?

Does your mommy know you turned off the parental controls? ;)

This is the easiest form of Latin. Which, BTW, is really the source of all REAL language

well, that is a good start MG, but this is an essay. essay.

The roofers just took a blissfully quiet 20 minute break. But now they're back at work.

Oh, my poor head. No big words today, please...

Susan, hope you feel better.

YAK, do you need to borrow Amy's mosquito magnet?

Thanks to all of you lovely, sweet people who are assisting me in realizing my dream on the TRB. I have hope that I might, indeed, achieve it!! And now I have to go post on all of yours, to reciprocate. Although most of you have already reached that mark. Still... one good turn deserves another!!

Anyone have a cold compress for my head?

Morning Readers.

Have a great Memorial Day weekend. I'm off to battle blizzards here in my neck of the woods. JK but we are expecting SNOW (SNOW?!?! at the end of MAY!!! Who's idea of a funny joke is this???) down below pass level in the mountains which is where we are going camping.

Thanks for joining us, Master G! It's nice to see you.

And thanks for the feel better wishes, Sher and Rhonda. I am not lovin being at work, but you guys are making me feel a little better. :)

There is something wrong with me!

I don't get the whole Gary Sinise thing AND I don't think Batman is hot (not even when it's George Clooney)

What is wrong with me???????????????

HI ASH

Don't think I have done that in awhile. Silly me.

Hope you feel better :teeth:

MG people in old Photos didn't smile because they had to sit still for long periods of time while the shutter was open for the pic and if they moved their face (or anything for that matter,) while smiling it would come out blurry.

Morning all. :) I'm listening to the orginal Disney Tiki Room & my bird's chirping along w/the Tiki birds. He always does that. :teeth:

Good Morning EVERYONE!

I am way too tired to give shoutouts to everyone....I stayed up too late packing. And waiting for laundry.

I love you guys :)

Just wanted to say hello!

Well thank goodness I didn't post that... cause I almost did!!

Where's Chappie? Cause I've got Christopher Cross on, and I know how much he loves my taste in music.

And also... I'm... "Think(ing) of Laura...", even though I am currently caught between the moon and New York City. That's for you, SNAP!
