We were on the Wonder last year and after one too many Konch Koolers on Castaway Cay with a couple of Disers, my DH rebooked us for this year. Well, life got in the way and our younger son is not going to the school that we had expected. Since we did not feel comfortable taking him out for a week so close to the begining of the year, we had to postpone until next year. So I got us rebooked, and with in a week of doing so, my dear friend said that she would like to go as well but needed to go the week before I had rebooked. One more change to the resservation and we are now booked for September 22, 2007.

That's great that your friend is joining you! If I ever do a cruise, it will probably be with friends, since neither my hubby or daughter are interested in going on one.

And you have the M2 meet to help tide you over!

I just got the recipe today:

Disney Cruise Line’s Konk Kooler
As served at Castaway Cay


Ingredients (single drink)
1/2 ounce dark rum = 14.75 ml
3/4 ounce light rum = 22.125 ml
1 ounce passion fruit juice = 29.5 ml
1 ounce piná colada mix = 29.5 ml
1 ounce orange juice = 29.5 ml
Directions
Place all ingredients in a cocktail shaker and shake vigorously.
Serve in a tall glass filled with crushed ice. Garnish with a wedge of tropical fruit.

Conversions
Change Ounces to Milliliters Multiply ounces by 29.5
Change Milliliters to Ounces Divide by 29.5
1 us gal = 128 oz
1 us gal = 3.7854 liter or 3785.4 ml
½ us gal = 1892.7 ml or 64 oz
1 us qt = 946.35 ml or 32 oz

Bulk Drink Recipe
Original Recipe x 35 (approx)

500ml Dark Rum (16.9 oz)
750ml Light Rum (25.35 oz)
1000ml Passion Fruit juice (33.8 oz) approx 1 qt
1000ml Orange Juice (33.8 oz) approx 1 qt
1000ml Piná Colada mix (33.8 oz) approx 1 qt
Directions
Pour mix into cocktail shaker with a cup of ice and shake vigorously. Pour contents into tall glass.

Makes 4250 ml or 143.65 oz or about 4 ½ quarts

Guess I'll have to check on my next trip to Meijer's or Wal-Mart.

.. Donna, I've done several RCI and the Wonder, in addition to a Carnival (yrs ago) and a Princess (this past April). I put RCCL up front, but the Disney cruiseline is a VERY close second. Each has its plusses and minuses. No one can beat Castaway Cay, and the rotating restaurant schedule on Disney is a wonderful change of pace. Their entertainment also, for the most part, tops 'em all. The Royal Caribbean Voyager series offers a tremendously entertaining ship. The promenade is fab, and there is SO MUCH to do. Pools are better. And, believe it or not, I liked Adventure Ocean (kids club) better than Disney too. Lots of international staff on Disney that were tough to relate to, IMO.

and Kim, we all wore the red island pattern Mickey skirts/shirts on our cruise.
I wanted us all to match for a good family picture. I saw several people with our pattern on and also with the blue one you are talking about.

I've seen people wear them at Disney too.

OK, while I was not tonight I WAS watching an Orlando Bloom movie. AND being a little crafty. Utilizing my pilfered Home Depot paint chips.

For moi's lime green Disney trekkin' backpack

and, because I was on a roll, one for my dearsister. Who won't be at the meet, but is making it possible for me to go! And she's got 2 trips planned, so she'll need it.

And dh was a bit crafty too and invented a tasty beverage with blueberry/pomegranate juice, vodka and a splash of Chambord. Yum! Love those antioxidants.

I would definitely wear it! Just saw lots of folks at Disney, moms, dads and kids with these. Got them for the kids at 7 bucks a pop and was sad when I got to Diz and saw dads and moms wearing them. Never looked in the adult section at Disney shopping. WEAR IT! IT IS DISNEY, if not there where?

My whole family has these shirts and dresses! We are going to lookie so cute in our photopass picture in front of the castle for our christmas cards! The mama dress is SOOO low cut...so some of us are gonna look EXTRA cute !
