Maybe I could make 500 posts today? Not at the rate I usually post - sometimes I feel like such a lurker!

Like the fact that I'm selling all my baby stuff and everyone keeps assuring me that it is a GUARANTEEEEEEE that I will, upon the sale of the final expensive item, get preggers again.

Which I WON'T. I don't think. Unless God has other plans for me, in which case I WILL.

Hey MG ~ I regularly freak my daughter out by saying that.

Except, I've got a problem with Ms. P's interpretation of "backwards." Notice, the only thing that is close backwards about that pronunciation is the last "rupus." And not even that, since it should actually be "repus." Otherwise, it is just saying the syllables in reverse order, but as they otherwise sound in the original word. Which means that the last two syllables "rupus" are out of place with the rest.

Just sayin.

Ah well. That is the language major in me coming to the front.

My supposition is that it was not the error of Ms. P, since she is practically perfect in every way. And being British, phonetics would be top of the list in which she would be perfect. Unless she was Cockney.

But instead the error would fall to the wonderful Ms. A(ndrews, Julie) who would likely not be able to produce the sound of those letters in a way to which it could be put to pleasing music.

But it is confuzzling me as I read. Since I never actually look at names anymore. I only need to glance at the wonderful pic to know who is posting. Faster. Really.

But not anymore. Now, for them, I have to check. Or wait to the end of the post and see what picture is there.

No language major here, but that has ALWAYS bugged me! I've always been a stickler for detail and spelling though, so I think that falls in there.

Now this cookbook idea has me all hungry!

I would defininetly buy it! Even have a recipe to contribute (meat variety, not for anyone on a diet, heavy on fats with bacon, cheese and cream, but yummy!).

Going to try and work from my couch tomorrow to avoid Ernesto. Hopefully it will not be too bad, just some heavy rains predicted. Even the shuttle is staying on the launchpad. WDW operating as normal, but a lot of schools are closed tomorrow. I would as soon stay on my couch than try to drive in wind, rain and heaven knows what traffic jams.

Update on the sabatoge plan of dieting.

I did make a chicken stew with dropped dumplings for dinner. They were without a doubt the low carb variety and I also used the honeymoon salad recipe I shared with Sheri today.

But I also walked an hour this morning while chit chatting with Tink and rode my bike this afternoon

Yak - we need a beverage section. Rhonda has a bunch that I hope Kimmie isn't listing in the church newsletter

We are having nasty storms right now so off to find some candles

Why so quiet tonight?

I just got back from a 2 hour freshmen orientation at the High School. Ugh. All I keep telling my son is.....EVERYTHING COUNTS now! College transcripts start this year. OMG, the pressure!! At least he decided not to go out for football. He'll be busy enough prepping for basketball. I will be very happy if he spends the fall concentrating on school work. He's in all honors classes, so it will not be a cake walk (like 8th grade was!).

Tink, if you check in...Hugs and Prayers. Hope all is going well with Dick and his tests. (And that the MIL isn't driving you crazy).

ACK! I'm trying...I really don't like eggs so breakfast is tough. Lunch and dinner are better. I honestly don't know HOW I did atkins for 3 months. (Thankfully I've kept those #'s off!) DH has been training like a bodybuilder and is on a HIGH protein diet. Breakfast for him is a bowl of oatmeal with sugar free maple syrup. OMG is smells sooooo good! He is trying to get me to follow this site...
