Reading, seeing and hearing Part 3

Steph, all of those avatars that you have made recently are wonderful.

Do you by any chance have a way of making an almost lurker avatar for me? Pretty please? Cause that is what I am now. An almost lurker. My once a week posts really don't cut it over here. Boo Hoo Boo Hoo.

I am still insanely jealous of all of you who are going on vacations this month and next for the maelstrom meet. You lucky devils, all of you.

I just want to warn the september guests, watch your legs. I know a family who will be in the world within the next 2 or 3 weeks and they let the 5 year old push the baby's stroller. And they have quiet yet intense arguments in public, all over the place. But, they were not interested in FREE dining. So good luck to you september vacationers. Maybe I am glad I am not going afterall...

HorseyGirl, your family is absolutely adorable! And your Plutopants pics are great.

Well, this Mama actually made dinner for the family tonight!
Poor son showed up after working another 80 hour week, and ready to quit his job. I asked if he wanted me to make him some dinner, and he said yes, fried potatoes with eggs. So I did, about 9pm! That woke up hubby, who usually wakes up for work at 9:30 pm, and daughter got home at 9, so we had a rare family dinner at 9:30.

Of course, while I was cooking, DS 27 locked DD22 out of the patio door, regressing right back to their childhood :sad2:

Just turned on the dishwasher, and ready to sit down at 10:30...

Coming out of lurk mode to say howdy and way cool avatars, Steph!!! I have been playing around to try to make a Minnie Moo, so this will show whether I've been successful or not.

Woo Hoooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!

Steph - Now, THAT is way cute! I had no clue how to make the background disappear. You're a WHIZ!!!

Marita
- Mine was creative plagiarism. Hope no one comes after me :worried: I flipped a cow cartoon pic I found in Microsoft PhotoDraw, erased some of ithe spots and added the Minnie spot.

Close enough for me! Especially with Steph's sweet Minnie bow added on. :cheer2:

Yes, as Marita said, the real Minnie Moo went to that big pasture in the sky a few years back. RIP.

Every time I drive by a herd of cows, I check out the shape of their spots - does anyone else do that, or is it just me?

I have fond memories of the family trip when we saw Minnie Moo, as my DD was still young enough to be enchanted by the Disney magic at that point. Sadly, working a couple months in food service at Universal IOA a few summers ago has put her off ALL theme parks. Hopefully, that will change in the future!

She teases me quite a bit about my Disney trips these days. Thank goodness I have friends and other family members who still enjoy going!!!

MG - Just wanted to say that you might want to suggest to your FIL to try walking in the parks to start with just to see how he does. Many people don't understand how much walking is involved. Then, if he's tired the second or third day, suggest that he either take a day off to relax at the resort or give the ECV or a wheelchair a try.

I find Epcot and AK to be much rougher than MK and the Studios. Epcot is so big, it's like two parks in one, and AK has a lot of elevation changes, which was really hard on my aging, arthritic knees this past May. I pushed my friend (who is in her mid-60s and has pretty severe arthritis) in the wheelchair part of the time and she rented an ECV part of the time. I found it was much easier on my knees when I pushed her in the wheelchair, so I made sure to tell her that and we did fine touring the parks together.

So this promo for Rachel Raye's new show was just on, which I saw before, but since I never pay much attention, I did not notice this until tonight.

One line in her Promo says "I can't go an hour without food"

Isn't that a little anti-PC?

STEPHIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you! Now what do I do! I love it. I mean I really really love it! And no one else has it! You are a true peach, even if you don't live in Georgia..... :yay:

OMG! I am not a geekie techie-illiterate!

You rock java! :cool1: :thumbsup2 :goodvibes

Thank you so, so much.

Everyone else's looks great too!

Darn, Horsey, I was about to be helpful, but then I forgot the steps. You right click and copy and that's where i forgot the rest, I think maybe paste it in your user CP thing and then click it for avatar?

Trying to help, but probably not much use, sorry

I will try clicking on it, but am a geekish, non-techie and may need more help....thanks for the others too!

Horsey
, you did it! Looks GREAT!!! I also LOVE the new horse pic in your siggie.

:dance3: :dance3: :dance3:

Marita - I'm with you on the Rachael Ray thing. She has been a bit overexposed lately, I think.

I hear that small frequent meals is how some people stay skinny or lose weight.

I am a total Alton Brown convert. Still can't believe my hubby also enjoys his show.

Yhanks Minnie Moo! I got it and changed my post! I know Prince Phillip's horse was Samson...and I think that is who Aurora is with in the avatar.

Steph! I want to say that some prince once woke me up....from a type of slumber, so this is just just perfect. You are so creative! Thanks again! :cloud9:
