Tink, poor baby. I can't believe what a trauma it was to get blood. It should be so simple! I'm lucky. Have great veins. The American Red Cross loves me. Hope your arms feel better tomorrow. And it's cool enough to wear long sleeves

Sid, Are you done with the tests now? A "poor baby" to you too!

Hope you both (1)find out what the problem is, and (2)don't have to do anything drastic to fix it.

In walks Nurse Cowface. This woman has teeth longer than my index finger. I should know. She was in my face for a LONG time. Out came the needle and a wave of nausea took me. I have been poked and prodded with every size needle you can imagine. A lot. Since I was two. I have a severe aversion to needles. In goes the needle. NOT into my vein. At all. She could not find that vein if her life depended on it. She kept jugging the needle around in my arm trying to find it. Two Hail Maries and one “It’s a Great, Big Beautiful Tomorrow” later and she was still jugging. Which is not cool. Like jushing. Your sleeves. The way the Fab Five do. Thank God another nurse walked in and got the needle in the vein.

Nurse Cowface then proceeds to tell me she needs more blood. From the other arm. I am thinking, “Geez, lady. You were just IN the vein. You couldn’t have gotten the blood while you were there???”

Poor Tink. I won't take offense to your bad cow-related experience! Did Nurse Cowface look like this?

Well, I'm first here this morning, it seems. But, I don't do shout outs--nor is it in my list of rules from other 'strommers--so I'll do a grump out. What in the world is going on with Barbie?! Since when did Barbies have tats??? Princess had her sixth BD party last Saturday and received mega Barbies: princess, ballerina, capri pant-er, tie-dyed, swimming pool lounger, wine drinker, coffee swiller (oops, wait, those last two are me!), et. al. And a couple of them had tats! On their bellies. And back. It's not that I'm against tats, in fact, some can look pretty good strategically located, but BARBIE?! Am I that old? Hey, don't answer that, it was just rhetorical in nature (sher: that means I'm just expressing an idea without any real need for an answer ). I need java. . .

P.S. Yes, I have to help dress up (and down) Barbie. Have you tried to tie the ends of a string bikini on a Barbie recently? You don't get much material to work with. . .just sayin'. . .
