Good Afternoon everyone. Since I missed the morning alltogether.
Yes. I got up at one.
In the afternoon.
Andy brought me breakfast in bed.
A bacon egg and cheese bagel (everything bagel) from dunkin donuts.
And a Berry Bliss iced coffee.
He actually had to buy two coffees.
Cause he spilled one in his truck on the way home and had to go get me another one.

I have no plans for the afternoon. Yet. But it will probably involve homework. Perhaps I can convince him to go see Cars with me. I don't know.

At the request of others I will in fact let you know what I got last night :)
Ahem...

Wooden salad bowl and serving utensils
wooden bowls (that match)
Silpat, timer, serving platter
salad spinner
gift basket of spices and stuff
bed bath and beyond gift card
money
microplane, rachel ray cookbook, picture frame
cinderella picture frame
quilted plate storage cases
desert mix, bread mix, apple cakemix, bread brick, measuring cups
potas and pans

at another function we got
stainless steel measuring cups and spoons
large glass cutting board
ceramic entertaining set
turkey lifters
frames and candle
money
target gift card
I think there is more but I don't have that list with me

Stay tuned...I have a pic or two to share

Wow pongo -you racked up! Way to go!

Blessings!

I miss you guys!! Don't forget me, 'kay? I am doing a snippet of lurking, so if you mention me in code I might get it. Actually I'm a little dense so you might have to just gimme a shoutout.

Kimmie!! I didn't forget you. See my edit from this morning. Where have you been???

The day is going well. Double header and salon appointments over (we actually WON one of the games...we are now 3 and 17!!). Graduation party in about 30 minutes. Blood donation has been rescheduled to next week.

Hope everybody is enjoying the day and staying positive and happy.

This is just in case I am not around later or tomorrow

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY to all of our dad's around these parts!

Just thought I'd spread a little of this :sunny: around for anyone who needed it today!

Blessings!

Hi everyone. Just finished watching a wonderful family movie called "An Angel For May". If you get a chance to see this movie on the Encore movie channels watch it. :)

All right people!!!!
Just so you know.

First things. First. I BROKE A NAIL. Two even, actually. One yesterday. One today. NOT happy.

Second things. Second. I have another freaking essay to do. Due tomorrow. I CANNOT wait until tomorrow to do it. Like ALWAYS. Wait. Maybe I can!!!! Then I might get a failing grade!!! And FINALLY get my get out of Dodge card!!! :teeth:

Third things. Third. (I will never say last because I am NEVER finished. As you well know.) This was THE BEST line from Nacho Libre. In my not-humble-at-all opinion. I was saving it for Oz and a few close buds but, a) I really, really find it funny and, 2) Apparently Oz has better things to do today. Than listen to me. Who knew??? :teeth:

Anyhoo..... here it is. AND, I want to do a poll. :teeth:

"...when you are a man.. sometimes you wear stREtchy pants.. in your room... ees for fun."

Sher, Hard to pick my favorite but I think it's "I look hid-e-ous." DED, I tell you.

We also like the XoxoOx part. Catch that, Chris , on your PM?

Ash! Thanks for the post on the trip report! We have much to discuss.

I am covered in dust from the baseball. My A looked like a snickerdoodle cookie after the win. He and Shrek went to SONIC for grease and carbs. I took a pass!

Jenn, I remember when I slept till one! Love it! I'm so glad you had a fun shower, too.

Out..again!

Slipping to page 2?? Everyone must be out reading, seeing and hearing today... instead of posting about it!

Guess I'll catch everyone tonight!

Rhonda :)

Hey guys. After I posted this morning, my daughter came to me crying because her throat hurt and she generally felt horrible. I took her temp and it was about 102. So off the the Dr. we go. We'll know tomorrow if it is strep.

Then, after the ibuprofen kicked in, I asked her how she felt about heading to the beach (we live very close to the shore) and she said sure. I packed up(makig sure to bring some tylenol) and off we went.

We just got back. We are COVERED in sand. But we had fun. DD is tired, and her throat still hurts, and I had to give her the tylenol while we were at the beach. She will drink, but not eat. DH thinks I was crazy to go since she wasn't feeling well, but she was fine, really.

Okay, that's it for me. Now I have to supervise showers/baths and cookout on the grill.

i'll check in later if I can.

Off to see :car: 's, try to keep the posting to a minimum...but don't let us slip to page 2  .

Good afternoon all. Hope you all have had a pleasant Saturday, and have a lovely Sunday tomorrow (remember to let dad sleep in tomorrow :teeth: ). And let's try to stay on topic here -- remind me again, what's the topic?

I just found out that Cars is playing at the drive in here (yes we actually have one), it is a Disney triple feature.
Perhaps I can convince him to take me.
I will keep you posted lol

So yesterday (Friday), we are supposed to get room nights to do budgets that are due at noon Monday. Gotta love that...

At 4 pm, I sent out this email to my colleagues:

Title: It's 4pm, do you you where your numbers are?

Do you get the feeling there are people sitting around this company looking at the clock and just stretching things out till the very last minute on a Friday and giggling themselves silly at our expense?

Here is what my boss wrote back:

I think it's all based on an excel file with circular logic built in, so every time they hit F9 it spits out new numbers.
They keep doing this until it's time for them to go home. They hit F9 one last time, and *poof*

Gotta love my boss...

He's a keeper. Breakfast in bed is one thing but to go back and get the second coffee, now we're talking! Although, he might be really good and have made the whole thing up. :scratchin After all, how the heck would you know if you were still in bed at 1! :p

I have some questions on the gift list.......

gift basket of spices and stuff Was Grammy invited and not the rest of us?
desert mix What do you do with this? Add sand?
potas and pans Italian pots and pans?
large glass cutting board Do you cut a lot of glass?
ceramic entertaining set How exactly do you entertain with ceramics? Do you and Andy recreate the scene from Ghost?
turkey lifters What the heck is that? I can't even properly make fun of it because I don't know what it is!

Oh I am rolling here!

I'd go back and fix it but it's too funny.

Andy says you are more than welcome to go check out his truck. It smells like coffee.

Nobody has seen the pictures yet...
But I am working on it as we speak...

Lou.... do not blame me for the turkey lifters.. Andy registered for those himself.

Stainless Steel Turkey Lifter

Even turkeys can use a little lift. These turkey lifters ensure that you'll never have to worry about how to transfer your holiday turkey from pan to serving dish again. Made of 18/8 stainless steel and capable of lifting up to 30 pounds. Set of 2. Dishwasher safe.

Don't ask me... I don't cook the turkeys.

He wanted them...he got them

Just a FYI...they are really sharp.
