I wouldn't worry too much, just do what you gotta do first, then go to the other location and explain that you were held up either eating or on the rotr ride. Most places are understanding of the issues and work with you.Welp I guess we are eating

I believe that i have read on here that if that happens you can go to a CM to add the other person.
Is it an older iphone? there were some people discussing this yesterday where there's a known issue with older iphone's doing this. Disney claims its on Apple's end but is trying to work with them to fix it.
I was having the same trouble. I have an iPhone 7. I downloaded IOS 13.6 to update my phone. Once that was done, the updated MDE app works perfectly.
It did ! Just as we finished our lunch we had 20 minutes to call time . We walked over and got called . We were group 23 and got called ride at 1:50 and got on the ride at about 2:15 ish. It broke down twice this morning for approximately 1 hour each time .don't worry it will probably break down again and buy you some time.
I have a 6s . Had nothing open( no WiFi) and I was in line for MMRR . Pushed join and snagged boarding group 23 . We rode at 2 pm .
Sounds like from the person above that as long as you have the most up to date version of the app, it should work. Glad you were able to get to ride today!
How did it go? I'm planning on staying at CBR/RR next week and I've only seen reports for the skyliner at POP
Great! Got to HS at 9:34. The line at CBR did look long, but was moving very fast. We had to enter the same line after coming from Riviera that you will when getting on at CBR. (I had wondered if we would be led over to the HS Skyliner line and kind of zipper merge with another line of CBR folks, but that is not the case. You literally go to the back of a new line). There were a lot of people at the HS entry, but if you do not have bags, It was very fast. Even with bags, not that bad. My whole party was tapped in and we arrived at ToT at 9:40. Just an FYI—they ask if you are trying for RotR to NOT do so in line. Only queue up if you are riding and not delaying the line. The ride was to begin at 9:45. We took our chances, and were off the ride by 9:54. We then headed to RRR, sat right outside, got our RotR boarding group and immediately into RRR line for walk-on right at 10. . .
Unfortunately, the iPhone 6 I had was so old it could not be upgraded to IOS 13 at all. I think that may be the issue. Regardless, I threw in the towel and just bought an iPhone SE. They may fix the issue for older phones by the time we are at HS next week, or may not, but I did not want to risk it. I feel a little silly, but the SE is a good price, and my phone could use an upgrade anyway for battery performance and memory issues. Issue went away completely on the newer phone so I do think it was my old phone that was to blame.
I hope this solves your issue! My adult DD is also looking to pick up the new SE at some point. She has the old SE but she's having the exact same issues you describe with the iPhone 6. She hasn't tried the VQ yet but the app seems to generally be working for her OK.
