Day 2
Tuesday 5th February 2019
Part 1 – Good Morning, Good Morrrning!
Goooood morning!
It’s Day 1 at Disney!
That means it’s Magic Kingdom day!
I woke up at 5:30am
That’s 10:30am UK time, so it’s not as crazy as it sounds I SWEAR.
I got up and showered, then I got back into bed for a bit.
Even I’m not ridiculous enough to drag our friends out at 6am.
I sat in the dark, reading and browsing the internet for a while.
Then at 7am I got a message from Fran!!!
(timestamped in UK time...)
I woke Jamie up…
and I went out onto the balcony to assess the weather/outfit situation.
It was a tricky one, because it was forecast to get very warm this afternoon, but right now it was very chilly!!
I decided to wear a casual dress and leggings…
But since it’s a February morning I took a denim jacket too.
While I was getting ready, I received these messages from Fran…

We could not get over the fact that WE’RE HERE together!!!
We’d all agreed to meet at 8am outside our rooms, but we were all ready earlier than that
So at around 7:50am we walked downstairs and waited for a bus.

We arrived at MAGIC KINGDOM at 8:30am!!!
Fran and I were both wearing Mickey Mouse shoes
(Jamie bought mine for my birthday!
)
We’re here!

We walked into the park, and there was a wedding at the train station!
Maybe this was a bit of foreshadowing
We had some time to kill before the park officially opened, so Fran and I decided to get lattes from Starbucks at the Main Street Bakery.
Rob picked up Fran’s order from the cast member at the counter, and instead of saying “thanks a lot” he said, with a big cheesy grin,
“Thanks a LATTE”

We got ventis, and used snack credits for them!
What a deal.
At 8:50am we stood by the flowerbeds in the hub and waited for the welcome show!
We hadn’t seen this welcome show before!
Mickey and Minnie’s new outfits were sweet
Cute!
It’s nothing compared to the old welcome show that was up at the train station though
Our first destination was Tomorrowland!
Fran needed to see her idol…
Isn’t her backpack the best thing ever
COME IN STAR COMMAND.
Jamie and Rob fulfilled their star command duties sufficiently, scoring 500,000 and 145,000 respectively.
Fran and I on the other hand…

After Buzz we went to ride Space Mountain as the standby line was posted at 10 minutes!
It was probably more like 20, but that’s still pretty good.
Fran was freaking out in line because she hates not knowing what's going to happen.
It was funny, we were half trying to reassure her, and half encouraging her freak-out
She loved it though!
We rode on the left track.
I can never find the hidden camera
After Space Mountain we rode the People Mover
And while we were in line we spotted a BIG DOG.
After we’d been on the People Mover it was time to use our fastpass at Space Mountain!
This time we asked to ride on the right track, and it was a lot bumpier than the left!
Buzz sat in the front, the poor love.
WOOO.
It was now almost 11am, so we headed over to our early lunch reservation…
