Day 2
Tuesday 5th February 2019

Part 1 – Good Morning, Good Morrrning!

Goooood morning!
It’s Day 1 at Disney!
That means it’s Magic Kingdom day!

tumblr_n88zdzqy7u1rwfctbo1_640.gifv

I woke up at 5:30am :hyper:
That’s 10:30am UK time, so it’s not as crazy as it sounds I SWEAR.
I got up and showered, then I got back into bed for a bit.
Even I’m not ridiculous enough to drag our friends out at 6am.
I sat in the dark, reading and browsing the internet for a while.

Then at 7am I got a message from Fran!!!
(timestamped in UK time...)

49472552288_ab4822f849.jpg

I woke Jamie up…

giphy.gif

and I went out onto the balcony to assess the weather/outfit situation.

49472559293_b8a1b2d54e_b.jpg

49473045976_78754d1ae0_b.jpg

It was a tricky one, because it was forecast to get very warm this afternoon, but right now it was very chilly!!
I decided to wear a casual dress and leggings…

49473268312_e66a6e63dd_c.jpg

But since it’s a February morning I took a denim jacket too.

49473045661_fdc1a01780_c.jpg

While I was getting ready, I received these messages from Fran…

49473038856_d1b3ed3e87.jpg

:rotfl:

We could not get over the fact that WE’RE HERE together!!!

giphy.gif

We’d all agreed to meet at 8am outside our rooms, but we were all ready earlier than that :hyper:
So at around 7:50am we walked downstairs and waited for a bus.

:cool1::drive::cool1:

We arrived at MAGIC KINGDOM at 8:30am!!!

Fran and I were both wearing Mickey Mouse shoes :goodvibes
(Jamie bought mine for my birthday! :lovestruc)

49473268007_b7795c6d52_b.jpg

We’re here!
princess: princess: :charac4: :charac4:

49473045506_038794b323_b.jpg

We walked into the park, and there was a wedding at the train station!

49472558698_0cb1861f1c_b.jpg

49473267707_fc6bcdfaf9_b.jpg

Maybe this was a bit of foreshadowing :scratchin

49473267582_0b8e7e9a2a_b.jpg

We had some time to kill before the park officially opened, so Fran and I decided to get lattes from Starbucks at the Main Street Bakery.

49473045091_2e43961355_b.jpg

Rob picked up Fran’s order from the cast member at the counter, and instead of saying “thanks a lot” he said, with a big cheesy grin,
“Thanks a LATTE”

:rotfl:

We got ventis, and used snack credits for them!
What a deal.

49472558313_af1ae71c0f_c.jpg

At 8:50am we stood by the flowerbeds in the hub and waited for the welcome show!

49473267367_95c01d2b0d_c.jpg

We hadn’t seen this welcome show before!
Mickey and Minnie’s new outfits were sweet :lovestruc

49473267212_d05d65be98_b.jpg

49472558058_2477fe8e1f_b.jpg

49473044626_39e6d4826e_b.jpg

49473266932_8ee6dca0c7_c.jpg

Cute!
It’s nothing compared to the old welcome show that was up at the train station though

Our first destination was Tomorrowland!

49472557793_fa7dd6af06_b.jpg

Fran needed to see her idol…

49472557698_695b17ced6_c.jpg

Isn’t her backpack the best thing ever
COME IN STAR COMMAND.

49472557608_e43cb2f6f0_b.jpg

49472557533_9d9c0bffab_b.jpg

Jamie and Rob fulfilled their star command duties sufficiently, scoring 500,000 and 145,000 respectively.
Fran and I on the other hand…

49472557448_e2979e47ba_b.jpg

:sad2:

tumblr_majyd7APgV1rgj0efo1_500.gif

After Buzz we went to ride Space Mountain as the standby line was posted at 10 minutes!
It was probably more like 20, but that’s still pretty good.

Fran was freaking out in line because she hates not knowing what's going to happen.
It was funny, we were half trying to reassure her, and half encouraging her freak-out
She loved it though!
We rode on the left track.

49473266457_9d47e46744_b.jpg

49473266237_e050cd5188_b.jpg

I can never find the hidden camera :lmao:

After Space Mountain we rode the People Mover :cloud9:
And while we were in line we spotted a BIG DOG.

49473043416_8c5eda10e3_b.jpg

After we’d been on the People Mover it was time to use our fastpass at Space Mountain!
This time we asked to ride on the right track, and it was a lot bumpier than the left!
Buzz sat in the front, the poor love.

giphy.gif

49473043351_3cf92c6188_b.jpg

49473259402_bbc069d1cc_b.jpg

WOOO.
It was now almost 11am, so we headed over to our early lunch reservation…

Part 2 – Magic Kingdom

Time for lunch at Be Our Guest!
We had an early ADR at 11am, but that was good because we didn’t have breakfast, so we were ready to eat!

4551280f05a2d786b75d56b111b4c962.gif

49472556428_beb5b4a47e_b.jpg

Jamie and I usually pre-order the day before, but I thought it might be a bit psycho to ask our friends to do that :rotfl:
“What will you want to eat tomorrow? CHOOSE NOW.”

So we ordered at the kiosks for the first time, then took a seat in the ballroom.

Jamie and I got our usual order of turkey sandwiches.
Rob got the braised pork, and Fran got the Tuna Nicoise!

49473042696_6b28bcee7f_b.jpg

49473265097_6966403f3f_b.jpg

It was so great to take our friends to Be Our Guest!
They really liked it, Fran in particular.
It made me re-appreciate how beautiful the ballroom is :lovestruc

49473265377_cc21f3fdc1_b.jpg

49473042766_657c5a39fc_b.jpg

After a yummy lunch we did a couple of things where apparently I was camera free!
Sorry about that, I’m not very good with my phone/camera if I’m with a bunch of people.
I think I was enjoying living in the moment!

We rode Big Thunder!
Fran and I loooove the one at Disneyland Paris, so we sat together and screamed really loud :scared1:

giphy.gif

Then we did something that Rob had been talking about all morning as though it was his favourite thing in the park…
And that thing…
Was The Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse.

:rotfl:

It was hilarious because on the walk over Rob kept hyping it up like it was the best thing ever, and I kept trying to lower Fran’s expectations of what it actually was (a queue… to nothing), which in turn made Rob big it up even more
It was so silly.

c1248e041b26ec4943ab8664fe91bd83b83011cb.gifv

(The best gif I could find )

49472556033_600493a4c4_b.jpg

After we’d wasted some time in the treehouse (sorry Rob!) it was 1pm, i.e. time to use our fastpass at Splash Mountain!

49473042431_d29df05d95_b.jpg

49472549988_6ca1b7512c_b.jpg

Splash Mountain is my absolute favourite!
Fran isn’t so sure though…
I think this sign might have freaked her out…

49473264872_946537e54e_c.jpg

Fran hates “plummeting”
Like the feeling Tower of Terror gives you where your stomach gets left at the top.
In Disneyland Paris, her catchphrases were hits such as
“Are we going to plummet?” (in line for It’s A Small World)
and
“WE’RE PLUMMETING!”
(Not on It’s a Small World, she’s not that dramatic)

:rotfl2:

Jamie and I tried to reassure her that the sign says it’s a “plunge” and not a “plummet”, but I don’t think that helped much
(it also didn’t help that on the ride we kept saying “this is the big one!!” any time we were on a slight incline.)

These ride instruction screen are new!

49473258887_1bcc21894f_b.jpg

Splash Mountain Ziploc!

49472555678_f8c47388d3_b.jpg

I kept this and brought it home
Free souvenirs are the best :lovestruc

Time to be movin’ along!

49472555598_259b3d1224_b.jpg

49472555528_84a6440d23_b.jpg

49472555448_b0e8242ffd_c.jpg

49472555263_0e8f61d5d5_b.jpg

Br’er Rabbit could’ve been in our ride photo…!

49472555228_41b3b6a844_b.jpg

49473041716_2262eed625_b.jpg

When we exited Splash the park felt very busy.
We had a look at fastpasses on MDE and found one for Journey of the Little Mermaid for RIGHT NOW!

Rob and Fran loaded into the ride first, then the cast members stopped us to allow some disables guests to load, so we ended up a few clams behind them.
It was fun though because we could see them dancing ahead of us in the Under The Sea room and the room with Ursula
Fran really doesn’t like the song Kiss The Girl so I said to Jamie,
“She won’t be dancing now…”
and sure enough, as their clam rounded the corner up ahead of us we saw Fran sat completely still, and when she saw us she just slowly shook her head

xk.gif

:rotfl:

Fran loved this ride though!
She still talks about how much she loves it :lovestruc

49473041596_9e8c379dfd_b.jpg

After The Little Mermaid we found a fastpass on MDE for Pirates of the Caribbean!
We had a bit of time to kill though, so we headed over to Storybook Circus and walked through Big Top Souvenirs.

49473041451_7eae6a850a_b.jpg

49473263792_1ed01a2a22_b.jpg

Fran got a giant cookie that we all ate from.

ercen9.gif

49473041211_c8c822ebc6_b.jpg

We walked around the side of the castle and caught the end of Mickey’s Royal Friendship Faire!
I filmed a clip of the Evangeline instrumental, part because that’s the name of Rob’s little baby niece!
Evangeline!
What an adorable name!

We watched a bit more of the show, and when Elsa was doing Let It Go, the woman next to us went,
“Oh, this is one of those FEMALE EMPOWERMENT things”

:rotfl:
We just found that funny :confused3

49473041146_3b03ce5cef_b.jpg

49473041031_3733f203a6_c.jpg

49472554528_06afd5ae71_b.jpg

At 2:15pm we headed over to Pirates!

49473263332_8c0bb15d05_b.jpg

I don’t think I will ever remember that there’s a camera in here now

49473040786_18511f28b4_b.jpg

Who knew?!
Not us!

49473040361_0985760f83_b.jpg

49472553918_fe7948f20b_b.jpg

Next Fran and I wanted to ride the Magic Carpets of Aladdin
So we left the boys soaking up the sunshine in Adventureland.

49473040871_8890ed2966_c.jpg

I realised that this was the only attraction I hadn’t done yet at the Magic Kingdom!
Buzz falling with style :cool2:
Aren't those ears fantastic.

49473258802_99d7bb5f65_b.jpg

To say she doesn’t like to plummet, she really threw me up and down using the control stick on here :rotfl:

Part 3 – Magic Kingdom

After the Magic Carpets it was 3pm, so Festival of Fantasy was starting!
The parade route was really busy, so we nipped through the Christmas shop and stood on the steps of the sleigh that’s outside, which wasn’t a bad view for the very last minute!
It was also shaded which was nice because it was reallyyy hot out now!

49473262232_edda2e0b9e_b.jpg

49473262147_22132db141_b.jpg

You can see Fran waving on the left of the picture below

49473262057_7849d82201_b.jpg

We had a great time watching Festival of Fantasy!
We were all waving super enthusiastically.
We got a wave from Ariel, and a wink from Tink :thumbsup2
We were all shouting Mickey so much trying to get him to wave, that even the guy sat in the sleigh next to us started joining in :rotfl:
Sadly we were not successful though.

As the parade was ending we had a comedy sketch moment...
A baby that was being held on its mum’s chest/shoulder in front of us turned around, looked at Fran, and just threw up all down her mum’s back :rotfl:
It was so funny, we wouldn’t let Fran live it down!
Imagine having that effect on a baby
Later on she accidentally bumped into a woman so they both said sorry as they were passing, and a second later Jamie looked back and was like
“Oh no look, she’s puking!”

:rotfl2:

49472552958_7fcd3bc7ff_b.jpg

Our next plan was a fastpass for Jungle Cruise at 4:10pm so we had a bit of time to kill.
We decided to queue up for It’s A Small World!
Because people who are new to Disney have to ride all of the classics!
(THEY say “old and rubbish”, I say “a classic!”)

49472552798_20d005ca60_b.jpg

I’m not sure how long the line was but we waited quite a long time.
We were cracking up playing “guess what song I’m humming”
Trying to HUM loud enough to hear over screaming children produces some very interesting ‘gurning’ noises :lmao:
Rob and Fran also started salsa dancing at one point :dance3:
It was a very entertaining wait.

FLOATING CHICKEN.

49473261702_d259115335_b.jpg

After the ride we all used the Tangled bathrooms and did some Pascal spotting.

49473261527_fbc8610aa8_b.jpg

49473039031_8a3a790d94_c.jpg

Then it was time to ride the Jungle Cruise!

49473038836_ebc9ea77de_b.jpg

49473261047_87b917c82c_b.jpg

49472551958_29e3c12c10_b.jpg

This was not what Fran was expecting at all
She kept being like,
“WHAT IS HAPPENING.”

After the Jungle Cruise we headed out of the park and to the bus stops.
There was no one waiting so we assumed we’d just missed one, however one quickly pulled up just for us!
We got off at the Yacht Club and had a look at the Ale & Compass menu as that's where we were eating tomorrow!

When we got back to the Beach Club we grabbed our refillable mugs and went to the Marketplace to fill up.

We had a lie down for an hour, then we headed back to the bus stops to go to Magic Kingdom for the fireworks!

Part 4 – Magic Kingdom and Epcot

We arrived at MK for the fireworks quite late, so the park was already really busy!
We veered right at the end of Main Street and found a FANTASTIC last minute spot on the wall outside of The Plaza!
We played Spyfall (our favourite game) while we waited, and soon Happily Ever After was starting! :lovestruc

tumblr_nblnvgTViB1tyhayao1_400.gifv

49472551863_43615fd8c7_b.jpg

I love this show SO much.
Fran cried at (and I quote) “A LION KING AND HERCULES MASHUP!”
And when Tink flew from the castle she was like “HOW???”
I kept joking that I was feeling the same way others feel when they say they’re “seeing Disney through the eyes of a child”

After the fireworks we headed to the monorail for EMH at Epcot!
When we got to the TTC an Epcot monorail pulled in, and there was an announcement that said “this will not be taking passengers”...
But then it just kinda… did…
The gates opened and the monorail doors opened and people started apprehensively boarding…
Fran was convinced we were going to plummet
BUT IT WAS FINE.

49473038401_e28b382148_b.jpg

We arrived at Epcot and headed straight to the Japan pavilion to get dinner at Katsura Grill!
I’ve never eaten here before, but Fran and I have regular sushi nights, so it was one of our must-do’s!

49473036396_5b3e9b521f_b.jpg

I had the Tokyo sushi combo, which had California roll and nigiri :lovestruc
Jamie had the chicken and shrimp teriyaki (and looooads of rice!), and I think Rob had the same.
I’m not sure what Fran had, maybe the same as me.

49473038276_f83e8150d9_b.jpg

Katsura Grill has such a peaceful outdoor seating area, I absolutely loved it up there.
We sat out by the waterful with the Tapestry of Nations soundtrack playing in the background :cloud9:
This was a really great quick service meal experience!

49472551523_17e393f220_b.jpg

49473260447_095b869aa7_b.jpg

We then walked around World Showcase, and we had a quick look in Karamell-Kuche, but no one bought anything.
We just walked in, took in the smell, and walked out again

49473260277_71a4b4449d_b.jpg

Then we rode the Gran Fiesta Tour in the Mexico pavilion, which Fran loved!!
It’s good to love things that never have a line :lovestruc

49473037836_1fbfcf6946_b.jpg

49473260097_85d5dafc3f_b.jpg

By this point it was nearing 11pm, which was 4am in our body clocks!
We were so so tired, but we pushed through to ride Frozen Ever After, which only had a 15 minute wait!
We all still laugh about how exhausted we were in that line, and our faces in the ride photo

49473037646_2967958bcb_b.jpg

49507122067_ebf017293d_c.jpg

We're all squinting!
We literally couldn't keep our eyes open. :faint:
And the girl behind us might actually be asleep

49506395198_664a93aa78_b.jpg

Fran looooooved this ride, she’s a big Frozen fan.
Even Jamie said it was better than he remembered!
He’s starting to appreciate how clever the animatronics are, finally after years of me going on and on about it

A little after 11pm we walked through an empty World Showcase back towards International Gateway.
Fran was blown away by how huge Epcot and World Showcase was.
I think she thought it was like an extra little side-park or something.
She was so surprised it was basically the same size as Magic Kingdom!

49473259642_0b0e3ce65a_b.jpg

49473259502_301ee00c21_b.jpg

We walked back to International Gateway and we were talking like crazy people, we were almost delirious.
Towards the end we all started jogging because I didn’t think I could make it up the hill
We thought we would shorten the amount of time we were in pain by jogging :confused3
It was all so funny, we were laughing so much.

We made it back to the Beach Club and all crashed so hard!
We were exhausted, we had SUCH a busy, and successful first day!

Sounds like such a fun first day! You guys did SO much in one day--I'm impressed!

Also definitely giggling about Fran's fear of plummeting, which I completely understand. :)

Can't wait to read more!

Yay, a new one!!! Your trip reports are my absolute favorite. We were at WDW at the same time last year too but I never saw you! I'd have definitely had to shyly introduce myself!

Congratulations on the engagement. I can't wait to hear all the details

Thank you so much!! :goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

Haha we were so giddyyy! I'll be posting Day 1 at Magic Kingdom shortly... :hyper:

Thank you!! Oh my goodness what an absolute dream!!! That sounds incredible, do you think you'd write a trip report about it?!

I wouldn't know where to start haha. Much prefer reading other people's especially yours ☺️

It's so nice, I hate when you have to set an alarm for like 5am, I wake up loads in the night because I'm so scared of missing my flight! Then I worry about trains being delayed and traffic jams etc etc. Staying at the airport takes all that away, AND adds an extra day onto your vacation :goodvibes
I've done that... at least once. Wouldn't mind doing it more. :)
They day I don't leave much time to get through the airport will be the same day that the security line is HUGE. :sad2:
::yes::
 Boots is what you might call a 'drug store' I think? They sell health and beauty stuff and they tend to have a pharmacy, but they do really good lunch deals! Like a sandwich, snack and drink combo :thumbsup2 and smints are little mints...! Are these both UK things?!
Yep. Both UK things.
But I like "smints"... that's just perfect.
Connecting flights make the day feel a lot longer in my opinion!
You know why?

Because the day is a lot longer.
I say it all the time! And I am also a weirdo ::yes::
:lmao:
It’s Day 1 at Disney!
That means it’s Magic Kingdom day!
Yay!!! Best way to start a vacay.
That’s 10:30am UK time, so it’s not as crazy as it sounds I SWEAR.
Nah. It's crazy.
But since it’s a February morning I took a denim jacket too.
Wimp! It's Florida! You should be in shorts and a Tee... no matter how cold it is!
While I was getting ready, I received these messages from Fran…
We walked into the park, and there was a wedding at the train station!

49472558698_0cb1861f1c_b.jpg

49473267707_fc6bcdfaf9_b.jpg

Maybe this was a bit of foreshadowing :scratchin
Awww... :)
Rob picked up Fran’s order from the cast member at the counter, and instead of saying “thanks a lot” he said, with a big cheesy grin,
“Thanks a LATTE”
:sad2:
Isn’t her backpack the best thing ever
Kind of in love with it, actually.
Jamie and Rob fulfilled their star command duties sufficiently, scoring 500,000 and 145,000 respectively.
Fran and I on the other hand…
Wow.

There's a word for that kind of score.
It's... sucking.
Fran was freaking out in line because she hates not knowing what to expect.
She loved it though!
Good! :)
I can never find the hidden camera :lmao:
It's right over there!

And while we were in line we spotted a DOG.
Oh, yes. Dogs are quite common on this side of the pond.

:rolleyes1
This time we asked to ride on the right track, and it was a lot bumpier than the left!
I noticed that! And not just a little bit more... but a lot!
Time for lunch at Be Our Guest!
I knew you'd go there!
“What will you want to eat tomorrow? CHOOSE NOW.”
Hmpf. Should've made them. It's all part of the experience.
Fran got the Tuna Nicoise!
Which she liked. I've never had it, but I've heard good things.
Fran and I loooove the one at Disneyland Paris, so we sat together and screamed really loud :scared1:
 Good!
Then we did something that Rob had been talking about all morning as though it was his favourite thing in the park…
And that thing…
Was The Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse.
:faint:
(The best gif I could find )
It looks like it's dumping water on Mrs. Robinson's head (
Koo-koo-ka-choo
)
In Disneyland Paris, her catchphrases were hits such as
“Are we going to plummet?” (in line for It’s A Small World)
and
“WE’RE PLUMMETING!”
:lmao:
(it also didn’t help that on the ride we kept saying “this is the big one!!” any time we were on a slight incline.)
Oh, you guys are terrible!
Br’er Rabbit could’ve been in our ride photo…!
Cute shot of you all! I like how Fran is really trying but still holding on for dear life.
Fran really doesn’t like the song Kiss The Girl so I said to Jamie,
“She won’t be dancing now…”
and sure enough, as their clam rounded the corner up ahead of us we saw Fran sat completely still, and when she saw us she just slowly shook her head
We watched a bit more of the show, and when Elsa was doing Let It Go, the woman next to us went,
“Oh, this is one of those FEMALE EMPOWERMENT things”
:rotfl:
I don’t think I will ever remember that there’s a camera in here now
"Fix your hair, honey."

We got a wave from Ariel, and a wink from Tink :thumbsup2
A rhyme that's fine.
A baby that was being held on its mum’s chest/shoulder in front of us turned around, looked at Fran, and just threw up all down her mum’s back :rotfl:

:lmao: :rotfl2:
We decided to queue up for It’s A Small World!
How... dastardly of you!
After the ride we all used the Tangled bathrooms and did some Pascal spotting.
Find all ten?
And when Tink flew from the castle she was like “HOW???”
Did you tell her not just to question the "how" but the gender???
When we got to the TTC an Epcot monorail pulled in, and there was an announcement that said “this will not be taking passengers”...
But then it just kinda… did…
Um... that's... weird. I'd be a little hesitant too.
We arrived at Epcot and headed straight to the Japan pavilion to get dinner at Katsura Grill!
I’ve never eaten here before,
I've never eaten there either. I like the sounds of what Hymie had, though.
We're all squinting!
We literally couldn't keep our eyes open. :faint:
Very much not surprised!
And the girl behind us might actually be asleep
::yes::

I am here for this!
Unless I have a trip planned I don't come to the boards much but when I do I look to see if you have a trip report going. I still need to finish your last one. Congratulations on the engagement!!!!

Joining!
Congrats on your engagement! Can't wait to read all about it!

I love your outfits and it look like you guys had a great first day. It's always fun going with newbies...you dont' know if they will love or hate a ride! But it looks like your friends loved it so far!

So I was reading your trip report, it looks like so much fun. I have a question, love the photo of all of you in the Wizarding World of HP, do you all really have the dark mark tattoo? Wasn't sure if they were real or not, if so what is the story behind them?

Joining in :goodvibes I am so excited to follow along on your latest journey after catching up on some of your previous TRs!

Congratulations on your engagement! :lovestruc

Katie I've loved all of your trip reports! You are such a great writer and I really enjoy your enthusiasm for Disney!! Trips with friends are THE BEST! Cheers on your engagement!!!

I second this, I love your trip reports and get so excited for your updates! Not sure if I already said this, but CONGRATS!! I can’t wait to see how everything played out.

This one’s a real rollercoaster, if you will.
To quote Dickens, this trip was definitely the BEST of times, and the WORST of times.

Oh no...the suspense is killing me!

49304523171_89e8f5ef97_c.jpg

OK, the suspense that I tried to create for “the best of times” lasted approximately 3 seconds, but I can’t possibly keep it a secret any longer.

JAMIE AND I GOT ENGAGED!!!

JK, the suspense is gone.

Oh my goodness, yay! Congrats, Katie (and Hymie)!! What wonderful news!

And honestly, looking back over “the worst of times” on this trip, it was awful in the moment, but now we can kinda laugh about it.
I won’t keep that a secret either as I don’t want you thinking it was some sort of tragedy.
It was just some pretty nasty food poisoning within the group, which ruined Jamie’s initial plans to propose

Oh dear :( I mean, I guess it could have worse. But what a lousy way to spend Disney time!!

Fran is the easiest person in the world to get along with, and is super enthusiastic about everything!
She’s just a great person to be around.
The four of us spend so much time together, and we had the best time planning and going on this trip!

AND she loves Disney?!? What an awesome friend!

Jamie, Rob, Fran and I all have annual passes to our local cinema

This is a thing? I want to live in England.

On Saturday we got up early for breakfast, then we had a live drawing class, which none of us were expecting :lmao:
(You might have spotted the naked man in the photo above!)

LOL what a unique activity! :lmao:

Jamie’s stomach was doing flips, maybe due to the early morning.
We looked up what he should avoid eating/drinking so that he’d feel better for the flight, and the internet told us to avoid anything caffeinated or carbonated…
Good job he’d ordered himself EXACTLY those two things

Bahaha that's hilarious!

My must-do: Turn on Must-Do Disney with Stacey!

Couldn't agree more.

We hadn’t seen this welcome show before!
Mickey and Minnie’s new outfits were sweet :lovestruc

49473267212_d05d65be98_b.jpg

Oh their celebration outfits were so stellar <3

Cute!
It’s nothing compared to the old welcome show that was up at the train station though

Also agree.

Splash Mountain is my absolute favourite!

You and me both! Such a masterpiece combo of story and thrill. And the Br'ers are just the best.

Fran hates “plummeting”

lol

We watched a bit more of the show, and when Elsa was doing Let It Go, the woman next to us went,
“Oh, this is one of those FEMALE EMPOWERMENT things”

:rotfl:
We just found that funny :confused3

:lmao:

Oh those darned females and their silly empowerment...

A baby that was being held on its mum’s chest/shoulder in front of us turned around, looked at Fran, and just threw up all down her mum’s back :rotfl:
It was so funny, we wouldn’t let Fran live it down
Later on she accidentally bumped into a woman so they both said sorry as they were passing, and a second later Jamie looked back and was like
“Oh no look, she’s puking!”

:rotfl2:

Oh my gosh! :eek::laughing:

We were so so tired, but we pushed through to ride Frozen Ever After, which only had a 15 minute wait!
We all still laugh about how exhausted we were in that line, and our faces in the ride photo

The sleepy faces in that photo were hilarious, but totally worth it to get on Frozen Ever After. :)

Katie!! My mom showed me your trip report from 2018 and I just love reading about your adventures! I’ve now read and caught up to your most recent trip report in just over a week  Can’t wait for more updates!!:)

We sat out by the waterful with the Tapestry of Nations soundtrack playing in the background
I got bored at work and decided to go back on to the boards for the first time in a year. Sure enough I saw your TR. I was thrilled! I always loved reading your TRs in the past. In fact the first TR I read you had a TR theme song or something. It was Tapestry of Nations I think. You posted a video on youtube and even to this day I listen to it. Its one of my favorites now. All that to say I am excited to read your TR. I am all caught up and ready for more. CONGRATS!! on the engagement. I am thrilled for you and Jamie. I can't wait to read about it.

We’re here!
princess: princess: :charac4: :charac4:

Gotta love those tour groups! lol

We got ventis, and used snack credits for them!
What a deal.
It is definitely one of the best uses for a snack credit.

I can never find the hidden camera :lmao:
I always end up looking in the wrong direction!!

Oh gosh.. Poor Fran.

Then we rode the Gran Fiesta Tour in the Mexico pavilion, which Fran loved!!
One of my favorite too!!!

Sounds like such a fun first day! You guys did SO much in one day--I'm impressed!

Also definitely giggling about Fran's fear of plummeting, which I completely understand. :)

Can't wait to read more!

We were very efficient! But we weren't psycho about it, which is good!

Oh nooo you hate to plummet too?! I think I used to hate the thought of it but once I bit the bullet I really enjoyed it :thumbsup2 I try to say this to Fran but there is no convincing her  She flat out refuses to do Tower of Terror  But to be fair that is a lot of unpredictable plummeting!!

Yay, a new one!!! Your trip reports are my absolute favorite. We were at WDW at the same time last year too but I never saw you! I'd have definitely had to shyly introduce myself!

Congratulations on the engagement. I can't wait to hear all the details

Yaay glad you're here!! Ahh that's a shame, that would've been great!! You'll have to look for yourself in the background of my photos  let me know if you think we were in the same park at the same time!

Aww thanks so much, I can't wait to relive it through this report :lovestruc:lovestruc:lovestruc

I wouldn't know where to start haha. Much prefer reading other people's especially yours ☺

Oww well let me know if you decide to!! :goodvibes
