Went in and changed my PTR name again...I resisted calling it the neverending PTR again!

Nah, I'm feeling really good about 2012, I know we'll make it there! And won't you all be happy to not have to hear me planning anymore and actually GETTING there?!

I had to call WDW yesterday b/c I was having trouble making payments online. Apparently b/c my reservation is two rooms, the system doesn't understand and won't let me pay online payments??? It is slightly annoying b/c I was planning on making small payments whenever possible online, but now I have to call and I won't do that for super small payments, I'll save up more if I have to call in each time! Either way, paid another 200$ on the trip yesterday, so that felt good!

for free dining! I really like the ADRs you made. I never would've guessed Chefs de France! I just looked at the menu and it looks delish. We've also never been to Kouzzina or Boma. Or The Wave!!! I can't wait to hear all about it!

Mini update here!

I'm sure you won't be surprised to know that I called Disney yesterday to price different dates! Rey and I were talking about 2012 and he suggested we go on my bday (March 5th) since those dates are included in the FD offer! I was excited when I priced online, thinking this would give me another month to save AND I would get to go on my bday! (also I could get an AP so that my tickets would be paid for the FOLLOWING feb. 2013 when Hope & I go for my 40th/Princess 1/2 marathon trip!

So, I called up WDW and when she quoted me the price, it was more? I had forgotten that at the value we have to pay to upgrade to DDP for FD, so it would be $576 MORE to go a month later on my bday. That kind of defeats the purpose of waiting another month since it would take me probably longer than that to save up that extra money! Dangit!

Anyway, I KNOW we will go in 2012, I made another $200 payment the other day, and I'm so excited for 2012! Unfortunately, b/c of my petsitting, I have to travel on off-times, so if we don't make it in Jan/Feb, we'll have to wait until end of Sept./beginning of Oct. which just seems SO far away! It's over a year! *pout*

I've been watching the boards though b/c if they release FDing for September, I may book for that last day of Sept. (29th I think was the Canadian offer) and we would be there from 9/29-10/6. I don't like the thought of pushing it off (only b/c it seems so repetitive to keep pushing it off? but I know with how I'm saving now, we would have more than enough money and I wouldn't have to stress. A year flies by, and it would make things easier (less belt-tightening) during that year as well...you know, like we could actually ENJOY LIFE outside of Disney?

Yay for making another payment!!! I think half the fun of Disney is trying to work the numbers and figure out the right dates to go for the right amount of money. It's funny.....Peter's co-worker suggested we go to Six Flags Great Adventure to save money. Get this...the co-worker said that it would be only $2,000 or so to stay at Great Adventures for the week, "way less than the $7,500 you'll spend at Disney!!!" HUH???? Where the heck did she get that figure? Obviously she had no idea what she was talking about! Oh, and she needs to stop trying to de-Disney my husband....My claws WILL come out!! Peter's other co-worker stated that we have 11 nights at Disney with FREE DINING and it's less than $3,000!! The first co-worker just can't believe it. Fine! Let her think Disney is way too expensive for her! Means less crowds for us, right Karen?

Late September is not all that far away! You'll make it in 2012!!! I know you will!!!

Thanks Ann! How DARE your co-worker try and de-Disney him! I'm on the fence about the date changes, only time will tell, but 2012 WILL be our year! That will mean it took us 3 years to get back, but lots of people take that long to save up, right?!

Oh and I thought about it and I'm wondering how many times you will go to WDW before I get there! Let's not keep count! Aren't you planning a fall trip next year too? We may end up there at the same time after all!

Making those little payments does feel good and it always makes me feel like progress has been made. You have a good way to think about it: It can take a family years to save for a Disney vacation. I never thought about it that way! Of course, if we're talking about a $7500 vacation like Ann's husband's coworker, it would take several years to save up!

I *think* he is kidding, but to be honest, I think we spent about $600 in souvenirs last time (I think this included some alcoholic drinks tho!). BUT...his Mom paid for the trip, so we didn't really have any costs! AND, I'm struggling to remember how we could have spent that much, I know I have two hoodies and a Christmas ornament???

I'll have a little more action for the PTR tomorrow as well b/c Hope & I are having a Disney Day! Really we just want to hang out, drink wine, and talk Disney, so I'm not sure how many pics I'll have, but it's PLANNING, so it counts!

Love that your hubby wants to take $1,000 for souvenirs. My husband loves going to WDW but his dream trip includes coming home with NO souvenirs. He'll just have to close his eyes and keep dreaming though. Other than food I think we spend less than $200 on souvenirs depending on if the kids are taking their own money. Then all bets are off. I would never expect to not let them get a single thing.
