Are there height restrictions in the Menehune bridge water play area for the kids, similar to other Disney resorts? If so, any details? I'm hoping that by the time we stay there (hopefully next year), my youngest will still get to experience it. TIA!

I'm sure someone will have a better answer for you, but I know my 7 year old niece was too tall when we were just there. I will say, she is very tall for her age though, but they would not allow her to use it.

My DD10 played in the area in January for a short time and no one said anything. She's about 4 1/2 feet tall.

My niece played on it too, but they would not allow her to go down the waterslides. There were attendants helping the kids and they told her she was too tall for them. I'm thinking she is about 2" too tall.

We went during a slower time and I didn't see anyone really patrolling the area. There weren't that many kids but she wasn't being rambunctious or anything so maybe she didn't stand out.

Website says 48 inches or shorter, which is a bummer since both my boys are taller than that by a little bit :( I had no idea. They will be bummed. We arrive Monday, 7/11.

My kids are a little older than yours, I think. They are 8 and 10, and they really had no interest whatsoever in this area of the resort. They walked right by and didn't even seem to want to explore it. There was so much more that caught their attention at the pools, slides, beach and lazy river. I didn't even mention that they were too tall and couldn't go in there; they just had no interest relative to the other awesome things on offer! So maybe it will not be an issue!

I agree with this. My youngest (6) was the only one who even mentioned going to that area, and she wasn't upset that she never got to.

Another agree. DD liked looking for the menehune so that's pretty much the only reason she played there for a little bit. She preferred the main pool and lazy river. She made new friends and played with them every time she was in the pool.

Thank you for the link!
If your kids are just slightly above the limit, hopefully they will still be able to play there, as long as they don't measure everyone entering.

Thanks to everyone for your replies - my DS is 9 and is already quite a few inches above the limit now, so by next year, I'm sure he'll look way too tall - he loves those interactive water structures tho!

My oldest is 8 and is 52 inches i think. I will have to measure! My youngest is 6 and is 49 or 50 inches. We will see if they are even interested. We watched the Samantha Brown Aulani episode on youtube the other day and they both seemed interested in this, but they might change their mind when we get there. =) I am sure they will have plenty of other things to do!

You might want to go in it yourself! I enjoyed walking through it, there are a couple of misters and it was refreshing.
