?? re. transferring points - details

We are planning ahead for two trips currently. One in March '06 and one in Oct. '06. We have about 155 points to play with, but will need to rent more at some point.

Here's the question - do transferred points "really" retain the home resort qualities, or will they just become "my" points to use at my normal 11 month reservation wondow?

It may make a difference with when we choose to rent, for the March trip or the Oct. trip (F&W fest, harder ressie to get at the BCV, our home).

Hey Micks,

They will retain there home resort, but most often take on your UY. You can have them placed into the UY of you choice I am told.

Yes, they will let you choose what use year to deposit the points (your Current or your next), but the points retain their home resort for the 11 month booking window. The points once transfered can be banked, but not borrowed or transfered.

Thanks Lisa - just the info I needed. I have a feel for the official rules, just wanted to know what happens in practice.
