? re: parking for Epcott

i need advice please regarding parking at Epcott. My concern is my dear dad who doesn't do well with really long distances. AT this point, isn't willing to do wc or scooter. If we do world showcase and not future area, are we still able to drop him off near the international gateway and park at the Boardwalk or Yacht Club or is there a tram or boat that goes over. We are staying at the Contemporary. If we were going to the other part of Epcott--we could park in the parking lot and take the tram in or even take Dis transp. in.

Any input would be very much appreciated.

You can avoid some walking distance by taking the Disney bus from the Contemporary to the Studios, instead of using the monorail to reach the front of Epcot. Once at the Studios, catch a boat over to the International Gateway entrance at Epcot. This will get you to the closest possible point to World Showcase.

It's still going to be a long hike around World Showcase lagoon, though.
