I'm normally a SWA flier, but I flew Midwest Airlines once a few years back when they opened a route out of MCI to New Orleans. Loved Midwest, but since there were no non-stops out of MCI to MCO, I pretty much stuck with SWA.

My question is in regards to the threads I've seen about Delta/Song changing scheduled flight times and needing to get seats reassigned. Midwest has recently started several non-stops to MCO each day and I've been toying with the idea of booking one of those flights. Will I need to watch it like a hawk after booking, to assure that I keep the seats I've been assigned?

As you can tell, I'm completely uninformed regarding assigned seats, lol!

Midwest is a great airline and to coin their phrase "The Best Care in the Air". Every airline is different with regards to seat/sched changes. Midwest flies two types of aircraft (Boeing 717 and MD-80). They do not mix the aircraft type on their routes as much as Delta (who flies many different aircraft). I would suspect that you would do well to book Midwest. Not sure if they are still offering these but they use to offer fresh baked (and warm) chocolate chip cookies in flight!

best care in the air is more then a slogan its how they do business--

we live in Milwaukee were Midwest is based and fly them whenever we can--

still it helps that my brother is president of Midwest connection (used to be Skyway airlines)

all that aside they really are a great airlines

enjoy the flight you wondt regret it

Thank you both for your responses, glad to hear you've had very good experiences with Midwest!

I have to wait until Wed. to book the flight, I'm hoping the price doesn't change tomorrow night - right now, Midwest is cheaper than SWA for MCI-MCO. I'm a little unfamiliar with the "assigned seating" rules, and so I fear the unknown. Just the opposite of first-time SWA fliers, who fear the "unassigned seating" policy, lol.

Thanks again!

I live 10 minutes from O'Hare and always, whenever I can, make the hour drive north (often at night with a sleepover and early AM flight out) to fly Midwest, great airline.

Thanks, Dan, for your reply! I took the plunge and booked with Midwest, hopefully I won't have any schedule changes, but I will still keep an eye out.

Thanks again, everyone, for your input. :sunny:
