Going with DD and her family :goodvibes . We plan to do the long term parking at JFK. For convenience my son in law will drop DD, myself and my 3 little grandsons off at the terminal and he will then park the car at the long term parking and meet us back at the terminal. We will be flying JetBlue. Anyway, son in law says that he thinks it will take approx 1 hour to park the car at the long term parking area and get back to the terminal to meet up with us  .
Could this be correct
Thanks, we are just trying to figure out what time we will need to get to the airport, and wondering if this 1 extra hour is correct??

Karen:)

Hi,

We have done this several times and it has never taken us an hour...although I suppose if everything went wrong, it could take an hour.

The long term lots are a fair distance from the terminals. The driver will have to drop everyone off then head to the long term lot, then walk to the Air Train station. Depending on how good or bad a parking space he gets it could be a 5-10 minute walk. Then you have to wait for the Air Train, and then take a decent-sized ride back to the terminals.

Again, I don't think it will take an hour unless there are complications, but I would certainly plan on 30-40 minutes from the time he drops you off till the time he returns.

Thanks Bob, that seems alittle better to me. DGrandsons are 4, 2 and 6 mos at the time of the trip so we're just trying to figure out things so we can do this as easily as possible :lmao: .
