Hi

Just wondered how these work? I know you can buy them at the POFQ where we 're stopping but how and what do you do with them?

I know this is a daft question but then again I'm daft! :rotfl2:

We just got back from POFQ Sunday - its lovely you are going to have a great time!

Regarding the mugs buy one as soon as poss after you arrive. This can then be refilled in the FQ and Riverside foodcourts as much as you like- just take it in with you! The machines have pop, coffee, water. Its pretty good value

We always buy the refillable mugs they are great value and we certainly use ours several times a day in the hotel especially in the summer. You just go up to the central dispenser area and fill up on whatever you want to drink and go back to your room. Don't worry there should be a "cup wash" sink at the drinks area to rinse out those mugs between uses. The tall skinny mugs hold more than the shorter fat ones do;)

we used these a lot at CBR but last year at POFQ we had the free DDP & because breakfast included 2 drinks we found we didnt use them quite so much but they easily pay for themselves in a few days especially if you have children. There are refill stations in the food court which serve coffee/hot chocolate/hot water also a variety of fizzy drinks.

At the POFQ - Do they offer soft drinks that aren't fizzy?

They didn't have the short fat ones when we were there last week, and the tall skinny ones seemed to have definitely shrunk!!!!

Sadly the mugs are all generic now, must make our colection a colectorsmust:rotfl2: each otels is the YOAMD (year of a million dreams)logo now

My brother and I live on cherry coke and hot chocolate for the three weeks we stay there! They save HEAPS of money...we must refill at least four times a day.

I don't think they do soft drinks in the drinks area and thats all DD will drink, so last year I bought a bottle of squash and filled up her mug with water from the drinks area. It worked out much cheaper than buying endless bottles of water to delute the squash with.

they did a sugar free lemon flavoured (minute maid?) drink but the dispenser was broken for most of our trip last year, it's like a lemon squash.

I did not find them good value for us as DD does not drink fizzy drinks so they was no choice for her.

EXACTLY the same for me as well!!

All you do with them really is buy them and keep filling them up you dont have to spend loads of money buying drink after drink after drink.

Thanks Charlotte x

do they have lids? if so are they secure and sealed enough to put in a bag and take into the parks?

they do have lids, that twist and it opens up a hole for you to drink out of (i'm referring to the more slender ones...the fat ones just a have a hole in the lid, doesnt twist etc). I wouldnt say theyre secure enough to put in a bag and take to the parks.

at the start of our holiday, we buy a bottle of coke or something. then when we're going to the parks, we fill it up using our refillable mugs and take that instead..its good if you put it in the fridge overnight or fill up the ice bucket and put the drinks in there....very refreshing! ::yes:: get one of those drink holder lanyard things - useful ::yes::

They do have 'secure' lids but the top twists to reveal two holes so that you can drink out of the cup with the lid on. You would need to be very careful and make sure the lid didn't twist if you put them in a bag.

Im staying at the Dolphin, do they have these here, if not where can i get them from and where can they be re-filled! also what is the cost for 1 mug?
