For those of you in the know - can you use DU just to inquire about room only reservations or do you have to make a definate booking. DH and I are undecided about which resort to stay in for our trip next month - we're on budget etc but a phone call to WDW at the weekend came up with some hideous sum for a 6night stay at the All Stars and I don't want to keep phoning the US. I want to try and get as good a rate as possible and am still keen to get something si is it worth my while trying DU?

Thanks

Yes, you can just get a quote on Room Only - basically you'll be given a quote and then a deadline in order to say yay or nay (or just leave the quote to expire) as to whether you accept you want to accept it or not :)

Any DU enquiry is just that - an enquiry - until you confirm that you want to go ahead (or not).

If the quote you've had from Disney is for room only then the quote from DU is likely to be the same, as they can only discount the price once Disney have released codes, etc. and special offers. The advantage in using DU is that, although you may end up paying exactly the same as if you'd booked through Disney, your DU agent will do all the 'leg work' for you and apply any discounts which susequently become available without you having to keep chasing it up! :)

If your Disney quote was for a package, then you should be able to get a room only quote from DU which will be a lot less.

Good luck :)

I couldn't believe the price I got from Dreams Unltd. Our package is hundreds of dollars cheaper than the quote directly from Disney.
