Called on the 407 #, got a CM, told him I was interested in room only availability to come in a day before our package starts on Jan 2. He has to ask me all these questions after he has my info on the screen in front of him. He knows we're a party of two adults and two kids. Starts to check availability then says: I show POR with a king bed. I remind him we're a party of four, he then says: we have a little challenge here. I'm like, okay, is this a contest type challenge or no availability challenge. He says: they're motioning me to get off the phone, good bye! and hangs up. Needless to say I stayed for the customer satisfaction survey! :rotfl:

woah, that is strange! Did you call back and get your extra room day?

Hmmm...that was really weird, did you call back?? I had called to pay off our room for our Feb vacation on Friday and although the CM was very nice, she talked a mile a minute. I thought to myself that she must be required say so many words in a certain amount of time.

Maybe they had a fire drill or something???:confused3

Weird. Sounds like there was some emergency or situation happening on his end that would make him just hang up.

I called back (different #, still 407 but WDW travel) and the lady I spoke with said that their computers and the website were down, related to the fiasco over Thanksgiving. I am still only seeing a few villas available on Jan 1, along with a gv room at GF for $435 dollars (rack). No availablility at values or mods, if we do decide to go on down the afternoon of the 1st we'll probably just stay offsite, maybe DTD, although I can get the Swan for $199 a night, still a little steep for a bed late at night. I'm looking at the Radisson at Celebration and maybe some of the ones on the DIS homepage if anyone has any suggestions. Oh yeah, while I was looking at hotels.com, the last room they had at AS Movies went for $90something a night. Those sites don't even have much, and all at rack rate.
